Rejection from Columbus VA. Surprised about this one as I have received interviews from other VAs.
For those who are feeling the stress, you may want to consider that the forum may not be helping you and maybe take a little break from it for your own health.Got an invite! But I will be keeping the specifics on the DL. I've learned there is/are a/some creeper(s) with nefarious intentions on here.

Hey, @ClinicalPhD ! I'm trying to be strategic about scheduling interviews and keeping certain days open in case I happen to get an invite...It seems like all of the Chicago sites are holding their interviews on the same days! If you are comfortable with disclosing, would you mind telling which day Lurie offered for your interview? I tried to DM you, but I don't think I'm allowed to.

I just want us all to get along! This thread has been such a wonderful and positive resource. I don’t know if I can handle this community imploding right now! Can we hold off until like maybe 12/20/2019 at the earliest? PLEASE!
*feel free to insert “she doesn’t even go here!” Mean Girls meme reference in response*
Congrats! And thank you for being so prompt to upload this. I was actually unsure of whether it had been a mistake or not as they had 12/15 as their notification date lol. Anywho, I have a question for you.... (if you have any idea that is). I too received an email but mine did not specify the track. I received different dates so I am at least sure that it is not for the HRSA track.

Anywho, I have a question for you, related to DENVER HEALTH.... (if you have any idea that is)... My questions is, I too received an email but mine did not specify the track. Have you heard of anyone else who did not get a track? I received different dates so this makes me think that it is not for the HRSA track.
I have not heard from them. I guess it means another rejection.I heard back from them with an invite on 11/22 for one of their child tracks
Yes—I totally understand the impulse but most seem to be pretty strict in saying do not contact us before our notification date because they’re so busy.Is it a bad idea to email internships and ask them for the status of your application?
Yes, do not do this unless it's past their listed notification date.Is it a bad idea to email internships and ask them for the status of your application?
What does it mean when they email some applicants about interviews and don't email the others? Does it mean rejection? I only applied to 10. I got two rejections already. I am also not a competitive applicant because my hours are on the low side. 🙁( I hate thisYes—I totally understand the impulse but most seem to be pretty strict in saying do not contact us before our notification date because they’re so busy.
I applied to the child track. Idn... maybe no news is good news. 🙁I haven't heard back about the adult tracks (at California Pacific) either. I haven't heard anyone else talking about those, so I was hoping there was still a shot for us!
Has anyone heard from Denver Health who did NOT apply for the adult tracks?
Posting for a friend...

Question for the ladies out there - are you all sticking with solid black suits? I really don't feel like myself in an uncomfortable business suit and so I ordered a couple of relaxed, neutral but non-black jackets to pair with black slacks. I still look super professional and I don't mind standing out for dressing a bit more characteristically, but I, of course, do not want to be seen as the girl who went against the internship interview grain. Thoughts?
I'm planning to wear a grey suit. Personally, a site that would judge me for the color of my suit is not a place I'd like to end up!Question for the ladies out there - are you all sticking with solid black suits? I am also super uncomfortable in suits but got one for this process. I ended getting a dark grey suit. The all black was soul crushing and I just couldn't do it.
Haven't heard from Albert's Einstein.Anyone hear anything (invites or rejections) from:
Columbia University Irving Medical/New York-Presbyterian
Bellevue - Child Track
Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein
Mount Sinai - Adolescent Health Center
What the heck! I'm getting impatient now! 😵

Preach, sista!I'm planning to wear a grey suit. Personally, a site that would judge me for the color of my suit is not a place I'd like to end up!
I thought those Columbia calls were for a different site - not NYP CHONY-6. From my understanding, though, sites are supposed to also send out rejection notifications, yeah?I believe some people posted that they got calls from Columbia last week or so. I haven’t heard anything from them.
Montefiore historically seems to notify pretty late if you look at threads from the last couple years. Not expecting to hear anything from them til late next week or so.
Yeah, I just looked. That post was for the Adult Track.I thought those Columbia calls were for a different site - not NYP CHONY-6. From my understanding, though, sites are supposed to also send out rejection notifications, yeah?

Okay, that's good to know. It's just a lot of money to invest in repetitive clothing I'll likely never wear again. Thanks for your support!I plan on doing something similar (wearing black slacks with a neutral color blazer/jacket). I also know of others who are not planning on wearing strictly black suits to all their interviews.
