Trying to update my spreadsheet has made me realize that I can't read most people. So far, all of my tagged suspicious posts have been from newer players, and there's really nothing in them that couldn't be explained by inexperience.
So far, what's caught my attention are what strike me as unusual responses - RM's joking lynch of PBC for starting a bandwagon, AlphaBeta's vehement response at getting lynched, Sandstorm for wanting to lynch the new player just for being new and unknown (aren't you new too?)
What I've noticed, in this and other games, is that I tend to pick out aggression in newer players but let it slide for older veterans - DocE, STL, LIS, DVMD, and others I'm sure I've forgotten to mention (give me a break, it's late, I'm not looking at the roster right now, exclusion is no marker of disrespect). Maybe it's because I don't know the "newer" players' styles as well, but I feel like I've consistently seen veterans playing a little differently. Think of Mad Jack's reputation for saying/doing anything to avoid getting lynched, or DocE sometimes (to me) acting like a perpetual chaos character in conversation.
I guess, I peg newer players at the beginning of the game for talking too strongly, while (in other games, not enough time to do so here yet) I target older players for fading back later in the game (I think I remember seeing DVMD do this in SOV's Real Life WW a couple of years ago; Lupin may have done something similar in Incredibles WW before seering results came back, just before the prison break).
Do you all think this is a real play style difference? Either way, what's your advice for getting rid of the blind spots in my wolfdar? Until then, I'll do my best, but this exercise has made me realize how badly I need this remedial WW training.
