Dy posted around midnight that we were 5 away from plurality, and LIS dumped a series of posts around 2:30-3AM, including his lynch vote. We were still 2 votes from plurality at that point. I don't understand why you're jumping all over LIS for it, and not Kaydubs, who voted after LIS, pushing us even closer to plurality. Is it just the inconsistency in that one post?

Kaydubs didn't post that she didn't like plurality and then push the vote towards plurality (it was only one vote away after LIS' vote). So yes, that is why. Also how he's reacted since coming under suspicion. I've addressed every question about me to the best of my ability and tried to bring up things I've said that I believe are in the best interest of the village. LIS has mostly said "lynch the people who are lynching me!"

Please also remember that I was in second place during the lynch of rocky, and I could have voted for her out of self preservation, but I didn't. I chose to vote my conscious, even though it would have been easy to jump on that bandwagon. I'm trying my best to defend myself and participate. I'm pretty sure I'm in second now too, maybe even first. I promise you if I'm lynched, the spoiler will say "vanillager". I could do like LIS and say look into the people voting to lynch me, but I gaurentee in just about EVERY lynch vote there is at least one wolf voting for the front runner.

Oh, and if you were asking why I didn't post first thing in the AM, after I caught up on the posts on thread, I was running late for work so I didn't have time to post. I was hoping to have a moment during lunch (sometimes I do, sometimes I don't) to post my thoughts, but it was too late.

Sobsob is on to me. Honestly, I'm an introvert. I like writing, I dislike pointless discussion where I have naught to contribute. People on this thread have said things so much better than I can. I could just quote people and start writing "+1"

In retrospect, (and the migraines are bastards and are ruining my sanity and life) I should have sat this game out. I am likely going to sit out WW from now on unless I mod.

That is truly excellent detective work. I like the strongman role theory a lot more now, especially with no one else speaking up about being blocked. Still, if they knew FB's role, why wait a day to take out the tracker when they could target the protector?

Because the protector likely didn't know who the tracker was. And if genny is right, then the wolves knew 100% who the tracker was but just had a strong inkling as to who the protector was. It makes more sense to kill of the tracker who could have outed one of them by sheer luck rather than offing the protector who likely wasn't going to coincidentally protect the tracker.

Dyachei and I have been talking. If someone wants to sub in, they can. Otherwise, mod-killing is likely imminent.

I had asked almost the same question earlier in the game and got a similar response - whatever roles (strongman, blocker, etc) it could just be that the wolves found the tracker to be a bigger threat to themselves than the protector and decided to take out the roles in that order.

Yes, the tracker is clearly a bigger threat to wolves. The protector can't really do much unless they know/can guess who the wolves will target that night.

Looks like there wasn't a blocker in this game after all. With so few roles I guess it makes sense to have a strongman with limited abilities rather than a blocker.

I honestly didn't think there was any other explanation for how the wolves got the tracker and protector with only one night of seering. The strongman role made sense if they didn't know who the protector was, since they clearly did know fairly early, a blocker made more sense. Then genny quoted FBs post and suddenly it made sense how the wolves could have figured that out. Still it's weird because STL posted in his brag that they knew who the protector and the tracker were and either he was telling the truth or the wolves got stupid lucky by FB posting about the strongman the next day. :shrug:

Also, I'm starting to wonder about genny. Either she did some great sluthe work (and if so, bravo, I applaud you) or she's actually a wolf and knew all of that already from the wolf chat and posted it to earn some villager cred and toss some suspicion my way since FB liked some of my posts (didn't she like other people's posts regarding the strongman role too?) That would definitely be a good wolf move.

Final note, I know earlier I said I was a little suspicious of PBC based off some silly numbers theory, but as I was looking back at posts today I noticed she was the first to question AB during the AM lynch. So she's moved down on my suspicion list, though it's always possible that a wolf throws suspicion on another wolf especially when they aren't in danger of being lynched right then.

As stated before, genny was the second to pile on STL after rojo started that lynch going day 1. I'd be very surprised if either of them were original wolves because of that.

Yes, FB liked other people's posts (mine, I think). As I understand it, @genny's issue with you is more from acting overly enthusiastic about the theory when genny's shared it before (I need to go find that post tomorrow).

I don't think it's uncommon for wolves to vote for eachother d1 or ever really. Yes, I was super enthusiastic about the theory because just earlier in the day I thought the strongman theory was out and since the moment FB posted about it I've been very open that I love the idea of it, so yes, I would be enthusiastic about finding out its still on the table as being possible! Also, her original brief post about the theory also implicated me and it was simply because FB liked my posts about the strongman. So by that theory, you would also be a suspect* because if you were a wolf it would have drawn attention. Honestly, FB didn't need to draw anymore attention after posting about the strongman. That was as clear of a flag as the wolves needed. While the rest of us had no reason to even speculate that there was anything other than a block, FB had info that she protected WTF and that protection didn't work and not because she was blocked.

* As I stated a few days ago, I don't believe you to be a wolf right now, for reasons.

Part of me also wants to lynch WZ for the lazy lynch vote on me today. I can't say this is really out of character for her though. She usually wants to lynch me and I'm a villager every time.

Just FYI - FB bringing it up is really all it would take for wolves to take notice especially since it's not a role that's been used on sdn before that I'm aware of. Also, who pays attention to who likes a person's posts? I barely pay attention to who likes my own posts!

I really don't think the LIS lynch is going to give us a wolf.

I really think we need to consider other people. People have been so focused on LIS that others are being able to fly under the radar.

As much as I have been (unsuccessfully) wanting to lynch LIS, I am very torn on this lynch. Both of the defenses offered were very good, and have given me doubts.

Jil is just acting so indignant that I am having a hard time seeing that defense from a wolf. Then again, I don't know what her wolfy play style is to start with.

LIS on the otherhand has said a lot of things that have made sense today, and I am not getting wolf from his defense.

In other words, time to buckle down and do some focused reading...

Genny would really surprise me as an original. That would be a great wolf move, but there would have been no reason for her to call STL out day 1 as a wolf. She basically put a spotlight on him.

Rojo was actually the 3rd vote on STL that day but who's counting? 😉
I do think he still looks good in that lynch because he brought new reasoning to the table, he wasn't just hopping on the bandwagon. It was like...
1) Genny points out STL's wording that makes it seem like he has a role, but doesn't vote for him yet
2) MQ and VMH vote for him based on this reasoning (MQ's vote may have been rng actually, she didn't say)
3) a while later and after some response from STL, rojo brings up another point
4) genny votes for STL based on her own suspicions and rojo's post

And things get moving from there
 
Unlynch Jilary

So let's see...rereading things has me reconsidering my Jilary vote, obviously. My reasons for it weren't strong, more that she had floated to the top of my list and I wanted to see how she responded. I liked her responses to everything. Except that part where she called my vote lazy. Boo on that. (She's right on the other part though, I think every time I've voted for her she was a villager...only because I was dead so early in the Pokémon game!)

Kaydubs - I'm awful at reading her, absolutely awful. It's true she hasn't contributed much in the way of theories and whatnot, but her play here has seemed very much just...like herself. With a dash of brain melt (I hope you feel better soon by the way!). She was second on my list before reevaluations occured, mostly because I had nothing that I could really give her villager points for. I still don't see anything that screams villager so unfortunately she stays up there.

BBC and teep were next on my list. Based on what we've seen I'm inclined think BBC may be another quiet villager, but I can't know for sure. There certainly has to be a wolf among the vocal players and that is where i really want to look, because it is entirely too easy for them to lead us astray from that position. Meanwhile teep has put his foot in his mouth more than I would expect him to as a wolf. Seems like low hanging fruit at this point (no offense intended teep, I just mean it's easy to misconstrue some of your posts).

My gray area consists of Zen, SOV, LIS, and DVMD. Of these I think from what I've read today I would be most inclined to think SOV is a wolf, but it's really only via process of elimination, so if none of those 4 is a wolf then it's pretty useless. I'm going to look over some things again in the morning and hopefully be able to make a decision already.

After that everyone else is sitting in my villager column for now.

This is a really weird suggestion.
 
Both LIS and SOV have deliberately drawn attention to themselves with their posting styles this game. They make me want to lynch them - which, in turn, makes me think I'm probably wrong and they're probably village. Which is what they want me to think.

I want to lynch them both just so I can stop running circles in my head.
 
Lynch LOTF

She's come up pretty often in people's feels this game. I know she often seems wolfy when she's village, but all of the options right now seem like such shots in the dark. She keeps coming to mind and I don't want to ignore her anymore.
 
One thing I noticed while going through SOV's posts: His writing style and suggestions changed as time went on. He started out being very factual, evaluating options after WTF's death and such As the game went there was a much higher focus on conversing or specific instances which had a more casual tone. At that point it seemed to start to mess with peoples' heads a bit. I am inclined to believe he(or sheltermed) started the game as a villager, but I think there may be a chance he was converted. Or at least I have feels.

Despite the fact we have not had a no kill night, I think we need to consider conversion an option.

Also, other thing I just picked up on:
I mentioned during my first LIS lynch that I was throwing a vote his direction because I thought his teasing/spat/whatevertheheckyouwanttocallit was serving as a distraction. While going through SOV's posts I noticed that the two of them have had quite a bit of back-and-forth at certain points. As they have both been playing this game since the Jurassic period, it could very well have just been typical game chatter for them, but I could also interpret it as more distraction. Ironically, part of that conversation was regarding LIS/DVMD spatting as a distraction.
 
Upon a quick scan of the search history, I'm content to stay with my LIS vote tonight. Although I haven't cleared Jil, I saw nothing (except grasping for straws) in her posts that made me convinced she was moreso a wolf. If LIS is a villager there is always another lynch cycle.

If LIS does turn out to be wolfy I'd be very interested in looking at analyzing SOV a little more. Mainly due to reasons I already listed in an above post.

LIS and SOV spat like that all the time. Unfortunately, it provides no insight into who may or may not be a wolf. They could both be villagers, one a wolf, or even both wolves.

I'm actually playing more true to how I normally do this game. The last few games have bored me, I don't like faction games, I hate complex mechanics, and I've had some stupid posting restriction for the last 635754 games. This is the first game of recent that has been straightforward and not requiring me to post some stupid word or picture or whatever. So I'm actually playing. Had this game not happened and someone else had run one, I'd have sat out because that's how bad ww has been getting.

On Sat I found out I wasn't working Mon like I thought. So I was alllll excited because I was getting Sun/Mon/tue/Wed off. So there I am at home drinking a beer when I get a call that I am 15 minutes late for my Sun night overnight shift. The one where it has someone else's name on the calendar. There was a goof up and I really was supposed to work tonight but it never got on the calendar so I never put it on MY calendar.

So here I sit working a busy holiday overnight when I thought I was off.

Grumble. Not. Thrilled.

Yes. This should have been in the Rant thread.

@DVMDream I agree that we may be too focused on lis and being distracted by continuously talking about him to consider some of the quieter people. But he will continue to be a distraction because he raised enough flags early on in enough people with enough conversation that only his death will really let us move on imo.

I almost felt bad enough/questioned my lynch enough to waffle this morning. But I'm resolved to being wrong with this one and will be glad if you get your "I told you so" LIS and will be the first to admit I read you wrong. I'll even follow your leads if wrong (maybe even follow them if I'm right... Another great wolf tact is to implicate another wolf when you are going down... People be like 'he was gunning for my death, who would he do that if I was a wolf')
 
Lynch lotf

I know I'm getting to be a broken record with this, but I don't like either the LIS or Jilary lynch. lady has seemed off thus far this game to me. I've got nothing to back it up, but I'm thinking dvmd could be our veteran Wolf. She's played well, and I havent had a single solid feel from anything she's said thus far which is what makes me suspicious.
