My school does not limit the individual rec letters that can go into the committee letter, but I've received some advice to keep the committee letter primarily academic/dentist.

I am a career changer so I have strong recs from some prestigious employers from my business career that I would really like to be seen, and not every school allows extra letters if I use a committee letter (NYU for example).

I had been planning to just send all my letters into the committee letter. Given that my employment is important for my applicant profile, do you agree with the advice to restrict my rec letters to academic/dentists?

Currently I have secured/as good as secured for my committee letter:
Three science professors
Three dentists
Two former job managers

Thanks for the advice folks,

I think your letters seem fine as long as it makes sense on your experiences list. I don't know about three dentists, but if they reflect different practices or specialties, it's okay. The science professors are going to be more valuable since your job managers and dentists tend to be positive about applicants (because you shouldn't have shown them anything negative like a bad exam) or they can't describe negative things (don't want to get sued speaking for their businesses or clinics). Always get advice from your prehealth office or the director who compiles your packets.
