Not sure if there is a thread already for this, but with my birthday and Christmas being just around the corner I was wondering if there are any books that I could add to my wish list.
I'm looking for books that I can use in vet school to aid me in studying and understanding the material (eg Anatomy, physiology, pharmacology etc.)

Plumb's for pharmacology is pretty universal.

Most, if not all schools will have a used book sale of some sort near the beginning of the year, and each school will provide a list of required or suggested texts. For what it's worth, the only textbook I ever used was the anatomy text required for dissections; all my other information came from class notes or Youtube videos.

Yep. I cringe when I see classmates spend hundreds to get all the books on the list. I mean, I guess go for it if you want. But I've yet to buy more than one or two a semester, and get used for cheaper.

One of the vets I worked for strongly recommended I get the Merck Veterinary Manual. I haven't made time to actually look through it much, but it's a pretty standard general reference text, and it's interesting regardless of whether you're in vet school or not. The full text is available online for free on merckmanuals.com if that's more your thing.
