I mean if I go quiet everyone will just say that I'm "trying to blend in" after my close call. After this whole dilemma though, I doubt I'll ever be off the chopping block. So, I might as well make the most of my time while I'm here.Honestly your dedication to sling as much mud as possible after very narrowly avoiding a yeet is impressive
What? The bold specifically confuses me.Bear in mind-- I suspect a number of immediate violet flights were strikes as well
I'm a little anxious that that whole stunt gave the wolves a ton of informationBear in mind-- I suspect a number of immediate violet flights were strikes as well
🤔Besides, if I turn out to be a wolf, then everything I say can be disregarded, right?
Strike is one of the roles people can have in the gameWhat? The bold specifically confuses me.
It helps them narrow roles a good dealTheory: Statistically from those dead, a majority of us are likely vanilla. I would assume that this would apply towards the wolves, too.
I mean, there isn't really any way for me to respond to this. I know I'm a villager, so it's hard to address why someone would think me defending a villager is pockety and I don't know how to communicate that to everyone else.Agreed with Ivy, this is pockety. Pshelty never replied to Ivy saying that either.
Elaborate please. It helps them narrow roles a good deal
That’s what confuses me. Why are people who left the Violet vote “strikes” as opposed to any other role possibilities?Strike is one of the roles people can have in the game
*******Also hi Dana! (I see you lurkin') And Ace!
Literally anything I say could be interpreted as wolfy, to be fair. I figure if I'm going to be here for a short time, I'll have fun with it.It was apparently silly of me to give you a second chance since you've gone back to being awfully wolfy.
I really don't want to do too much thinking for the wolves but if you read people's posts you can get a feeling for folks who believed violet because they also have that role. That’s what confuses me. Why are people who left the Violet vote “strikes” as opposed to any other role possibilities?
I'm not going to speculate on those types of mechanics (I just stick with speculating on the names of roles since it seems pretty harmless and usually aren't super related (especially with bowling lol)).
Is this not you speculating on mechanics?Theory: Statistically from those dead, a majority of us are likely vanilla. I would assume that this would apply towards the wolves, too.
Nope, I think it's a good educated guess. Speculating to me is throwing out concepts from no where. Is this not you speculating on mechanics?
Besides, I think it's dangerous to assume the wolves don't have special powers (if that's what you're getting at). We definitely do not have enough information to think that and I don't see how it benefits village to operate under this assumption.
If anything, all this means is anyone with a PR has to keep it close to the vest. I don't know what PRs are out there, and I don't want the wolves to know either. The focus should be on ferreting out the wolves before they can find anyone with a PR.
@Zenge142 Why did you not think of this too?I really don't want to do too much thinking for the wolves but if you read people's posts you can get a feeling for folks who believed violet because they also have that role.
I really don't want to do too much thinking for the wolves but if you read people's posts you can get a feeling for folks who believed violet because they also have that role.
I think there’s a big difference between believing Violet and believing Violet because they have the same role. They’re not mutually exclusive.@Zenge142 Why did you not think of this too?
That’s what confuses me. Why are people who left the Violet vote “strikes” as opposed to any other role possibilities?
I believe there has been a miscommunication. I don't mean to include every vote in that category, but a couple certainly will be. Is that unreasonable? It may not even be violet's role, and that reasoning would apply.I think there’s a big difference between believing Violet and believing Violet because they have the same role. They’re not mutually exclusive.
This is an interesting theoryI believe that they are a "strike" but not so sure of whether that role title is limited to villagers
Maybe. Maybe. 🤣Am I wolfy enough for you now @Zenge142
Can you pls explain why this is being discussed other than feeding wolves role name info?Bear in mind-- I suspect a number of immediate violet flights were strikes as well
It's not feeding them any new information. The information is out there. Can you pls explain why this is being discussed other than feeding wolves role name info?

just caught up after spending a while cleaning our apartment. i think i've mostly felt defensive of veterans picking on noobs for acting nooby, which feels central to the arguments behind the violet, ivy, and fluff bandwagons... april's extensive iso of ivy is the most substantial offender of this, so I'm going to...
unyeet vis

I 100% believe that there could be duplicate role names
Unyeet Octo, yeet Ivy.
For self-prev. I'm probably dead but whatever, I'll give it a shot.
Mayor I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to
Yeet justafluff
@Aprilthearab
thank you for ISOing Ivy. I don't know why but I had forgotten about most of Ivy's posts. I had thought she had been completely absent after voting. Seeing it piled up does make her very sus, more than the suspicions I've felt about violet. Mr Waffles, by your grace,

I buy it.
Unyeet violet, yeet Octodoc
Okay my current wolf reads (mainly been focusing on noobs, will have more time to ISO veterans tomorrow) are Ivy, Fluff, and maybe Stoaty. I'm willing to give Ivy another chance due to her inactivity/job but there's not enough there for me to vote yet.
Yeet fluffy
Yeet Ivy
Feel even between her and fluff and selfishly I want to keep my tee around more

I have no idea who to vote for so I'm going to vote to yeet Sporty.
I can defend it, I'm sure I'm already in her bad books, and it shouldn't cause a tie.

Why?Unyeet violet
Yeet fluff
I believe her role reveal
Is there any reason why people are buying this?I'm a Strike like genny, same exact thing with the higher bowling average.
Yup, it sounds like I'm lying since someone has the same role, but I bet there's other duplicates out there, too. I cringed the second I saw genny had the same role as me because I knew that if I had to role reveal, it would be immediately doubted. Oh well. If you don't believe me, at least it doesn't hurt the village PR-wise which is good. It does mean that the wolves are more likely to catch a PR tonight though.
… but you were wolfreading violets too? What changed? The massive last-minute waffling back and forth with ivy, fluff, and violet. I've been village-reading ivy (and sort of violet, though she's not 100% in the clear) and starting to wolf-read fluff but the last second jump over to fluff and the rush to vote others to save fluff is all kinds of confusing.
So I'm just hoping ivy is a wolf and that will make my life easier.
Feels pretty obvious to me that it's because they have that role as wellIs there any reason why people are buying this?
Maybe, but I think its broader than that. Someone else might also be a Gutter Ball, like WZ. No idea who, but I doubt everyone's a Strike.Feels pretty obvious to me that it's because they have that role as well
Even so, why are role names being associated with affiliation?Feels pretty obvious to me that it's because they have that role as well
Because the description is specifically towards bowling averages. The initial writeup only said that villagers have these averages, nothing about wolves also having it. (Granted, maybe it just wasn't mentioned to keep us in the dark, but that's speculation.)Even so, why are role names being associated with affiliation?
I suspect that that's more telling of the affiliation of certain people who ran away from the vote after the role reveal, than of Violet herself. There's been some hindsight musings to that effect.Even so, why are role names being associated with affiliation?
This was my mistake. I switched my vote when I thought "oh she's a strike she must be a villager!" and then later realized why can't wolves have the same role names?Even so, why are role names being associated with affiliation?
Wait, what? This is vague and I request future elaboration. Are you saying some people are wolfy or villagey? And what differentiates "certain people" from other vote-runners?I suspect that that's more telling of the affiliation of certain people who ran away from the vote after the role reveal, than of Violet herself. There's been some hindsight musings to that effect.

Here you go!1. Bowling is both a TEAM sport AND an INDIVIDUAL sport! As such, wolves and villagers will be competing against each other as factions as is standard. However, Villagers will also be competing AGAINST EACH OTHER. Each villager has been assigned a starting bowling average. Your bowling average will go up or down depending on your actions throughout the game. Examples of things that will affect your score include, but are not limited to, frequency and content of posts, correct/incorrect vote placement, use of abilities, etc. At the end of the game the villagers will have a final ranking from highest to lowest average.
It’s currently Mels and Sporty for hardest to readHey @Lawpy and @Animal Midwife
Is there someone that feels the wolfiest/ hardest to read to you? I trust your opinions the most after what happened tonight, and want to see if they match mine.
I guess this is a noob opinion vs. vet opinion thing. But in general, believability of a role reveal doesn’t typically hinge on people having the same role.Feels pretty obvious to me that it's because they have that role as well
My immediate POE is very broad still.Hey @Lawpy and @Animal Midwife

Unvote whoever vote fluff
Well, this is an explanation. Although idk how to feel about thisGo ahead and tell me that the ivy votes didn’t come out of nowhere. Since when has a last minute bandwagon helped village? I have ivy in my slightly out of neutral village zone. I’d rather vote for fluff over losing my PM partner on a last minute bandwagon tie situation
