Hi all, if somebody who has either been down the interview trail or is a current resident could shed some light on this, that would be amazing. I have seen the study were "average student match CBSE score is 68.9" and read about as many SDN forums as humanly possible, but I am still interested in knowing the actual scores of actual resident in different OMFS programs. I know with the semi-recent score system change that things can be foggy, but it would just be nice to hear from those at their specific programs what it took to match.

And yes I am aware that CBSE is not everything. But this is purely baseline information for me.

Thank you to all who reply.

No answer to this - but am working on survey study to see if we can get a majority of residents to answer this question, along with if they did a noncat.

These threads should help answer your question:

For competitive programs generally 70+ EPC and you will be in the mix. Huge variations between programs though, some of the competitive ones don’t care for cbse much and prefer noncats, some are biased to people who are from the program’s region. The categoricals at my program all got 80+ EPC. Only way to get true numbers is to extern or know someone at a program/externed
