MD & DO Chances for MD and DO? (open to both)

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to know a little bit about my position and what schools I should be looking at! I am open to both MD and DO! Applying next cycle and took the most recent MCAT date in September. With the grades I'm looking at this semester, here are my stats:

MCAT 509 (but low CARS score of 124)
cGPA about 3.6
sGPA about 3.4
non-science GPA: 3.8

More information for context:

Filipino, New York Resident
3 years of multiple research positions (bio, clinical, public health)
-awards for my research
Many clinical volunteering/shadowing positions (hospitals and private practices)
- only wit MDs
3 leadership positions from 2014
Volunteer at an animal shelter

What are my chances for MD schools? DO schools? Any particular schools I should be shooting for? Thanks!

However, do you know my chances at DO school as well? Am I a better candidate for MD or DO?

You are competitive for all DO schools with your stats. Apply to 6 or more and you should receive interviews.
