Ditto. Even though I check my email twice a day, Im not expecting any news for awhile. I imagine after all the COMs get their students rolling, then we'll all move up on their priority lists, then we'll see some action. Till then..... 😴

:laugh: i have gmail window open on my computer the whole time...i think i check it for real at least 127 times a day...oh and my DO finally wrote my LOR:bow::bow::bow:...it should be uploaded to my interfolio tomorow and then i am good to roll again😀:luck:

Diver i have a question to you about your WVSOM interview?
When you were checking the status of your apps on their web did it tell you you had an interview or did you just get an email invite? And how long it took to get an invite from the moment they emailed you your ID and pin?

Well after they saw that I indicated them on my aacomas primary, I got an email telling me they received my primary, along with an Id and pin #. Later I recieved an email inviting me for an interview with dates and confirmation instructions. After this, I entered my pin # and ID and all it said was "interview, and decision pending". Im guessing that AFTER my interview I might be able to see my acceptance/rejection status before I get email or letter confirmation. Congrats on getting that letter in! Dont worry, after intefolio sends it, thell match it up quickly at the COMs and youll still be early !

LOL. Dr Kicia, I try and busy myself throughout the day in order to keep from checking my email 2948478494 times. Like right after this post for instance, Im appointing myself lifeguard of our family pool. Being that its just me and my sister, I think im in for a hard days work. lol :laugh:😎

thank you Diver...i was so freaked out about the LOR situation, especially that as far as numbers go i am not such a great applicant...i mean if not for that i would have been complete at 8 schools for at least 2 weeks now...but oh well...i guess if i mail my lors in via priority mail my file at those 8 schools should be complete sometime next week...and let's hope i will put mysefl on the noble list in this thread soon😀:luck:

Playmakur42 are you in state or OOS? If your OOS, I hope you know that finding a hotel with shuttle service that will take students to the school is next to impossible. I had to rent a car from the airport near lewisburg. (In reference to WVSOM) :luck:

I had already kind of generalized the same thing though based on some of the numbers I have seen. However, they could even pick candidates on soft factors for all I know.

They're website says those with a 3.5+ gpa and 30+ MCAT are automatically considered for scholarships, so I think an interview is a safe assumption unless your MCAT was horrible.

My GPA was a 3.82, Science GPA 3.9, and MCAT was a 30. My primary was mailed on 7/19, I received the secondary on 7/27 (haven't completed it yet), and received the interview on 7/30.

yeah me too but look at last year's interview invite thread and most schools first start inviting end of august-mid september.... so don't panick yet 🙂
 
Yeah, I agree. On MDapps, it looks like those who get everything in early start getting called mid-August to September. The only school I applied to that has started giving out interviews is DMU but not everyone who is eventually interviewed gets a fast-track. No biggie. I wouldn't worry, I'm sure you'll get called!!

I'll feel better after the MCAT retake I think (Sep). I think that will boost my confidence a little more. Everything was sailing smooth until I got my scores in July - It's an ego dropper when you thought you rocked the test and ended up 4 points lower than your lowest practice!

So seeing the early invites also is somewhat of a downer - although I'm happy for those that got invites!
 
I'm sure the Sept test will go better. It is my contention that there was just something off with the May 31st exam. It makes me feel better to think so anyway.

I live near John Wayne Airport, if you're planning to go to Western, it's gonna be another 1 hour drive from Costa Mesa to Pomona.

I'm flying into Ontario. My ticket was only 238 roundtrip, out of jacksonville, fl...which isn't too bad at all, I think.

Ontario is indeed the closest, and usually pretty cheap to fly into.
Plus, it's a wide-open, non-congested airport.
And it's about 3 minutes from my apartment!
I'd love to meet Western interviewees and help them get adjusted if need be.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to be accepted at WVSOM? I heard it wasn't as competitive b/c it's expensive (I have 22-R MCAT; 3.72 GPA).
