Then at 11:00 it's on to studying for my immuno final Friday. Just. Keep. Pushin.

Edit: Well... dumb mistakes got me again as usual. Good thing it's only 12% of my Animal Systems grade

I have been fecking reading the damn book all day and by dog it is the most interesting material in the whole of vet school 🙄

need to focus some more and power through

then I have an animal welfare project on slaughter due next wednesday.....a midterm on biological fluids on the the 26th..... a case study on one of my hospital cases due on dec 7th.... and then all of my finals in Dec...... holy feck

I actually like genetics, it is just applying it to animals so I would need to do some reading on it. 🙂

I swear Em, we have like the same schedules. Huge Immuno test tomorrow for me too. And not feeling too keen on studying right now...

Just a few more weeks and then break!

Yep it's our 5th final in the last two weeks. We start neuro and parasitology on Monday, but we have officially no classes as of noon tomorrow (just for sat and sun but I'll take it 😀). This weekend and next week is gonna be fabulous. BF will be here and we are going to my parents for thanksgiving. Lots of family coming in from Ohio. I'm so stoked.

Final project for Epidemiology submitted :soexcited:. 20 minutes before the deadline, but it's done!

And my anatomy group is set for next semester with my original 3 groupies plus 2 more that we think will be awesome additions to our group. So happy to be sticking with my anatomy group, we have the awesomest group ever! Hopefully to only be made awesomer by the addition of the two new people to our group 🙂.
 
Ooooohhhh, drama! Why do I have such high expectations for people? Frustrated to wake up to an early morning phone call on my day to sleep in. I just wanted to sleep until 9, but that did not happen. And the worst part? That phone call was from a classmate! Why do you feel the need to call me to tell me your feelings about our group project. I don't care!!!! If your feelings got hurt because you felt that you did not contribute much to the project, you can tell me in class. And then don't start gossiping about other people in the group.

I wish I was back in high school...
 
FREEEEEEEDOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!! So excited to be done! Only two more classes and a fantastic Thanksgiving stand between me and my first completed semester of vet school!

Be glad you weren't the one waiting for a draft until 11 PM last night and then had to wake up at 4 AM to scramble and get your stuff together. Remember, it's the last Epi project :soexcited:
 
Exams begin in 11 days... I have an exam on Tuesday the 27th, Wednesday the 28th and Thursday the 29th..... :scared: :cry:

This is not going to go over well... At least I can look forward to Christmas and resitting the exam in August... 😎

Finished my last CBC quiz for clin path!! WOOOO. 100% on all of them. I am a CBC queen. BRING IT ON. Now to rock my final (moreso than my midterm). I really want that A!

Yes, but this time it isn't "review". I had already had anatomy prior so a lot of that was "review". Some of this exam is, but quite a bit of it is stuff that I am seeing for the first time... or stuff that I have not learned this in depth... And I haven't been keeping up very well because of other issues.. So I just feel really far behind... I am really just looking to pass, but I am not sure if I will be able to do that...

So excited for an entire week off to eat some turkey!

When we get back we are decorating our anatomy tables for the holidays (our theme is glitter, unicorns and camelids) 😀 and only 5 days of class before the AAEP conference and DISNEYLAND!

This semester has blown by. We are almost 1/8 of a veterinarian! Every time I hear that I think of Turk and JD on Scrubs playing 'large doctor' except with 8 vet students stacked on each other's shoulders to make one complete doctor.

Way to go 👍. I missed one on this CBC quiz, was hoping for a perfect too.

Can't believe we only have 7 more days of classes this semester. It definitely has not flown by, but it seemed like it would never end for a while there and can't believe we're almost there 😀.

I knew endo like whoa. I went into that exam ready to kick arse.

We all felt like we were taking a foreign language test. It made no sense. I'm so annoyed. I knew I didn't do great but I didn't expect this. Boo. :cry:
Nothing like your entire grade depending on 40 confusing multiple choice questions. 😡

God it must be an endocrinology professor thing... ours likes confusing MC too, with lots of "A and C" "B and D" "All of the above" "None of the above" to boot.

Currently chugging through a bunch of histological terms, then after a reproductive physio test on Wednesday morning I'm DONE! 😀
 
51 pages of notes written out and 118 flash cards so far for this next exam... I still have a long way to go, but at least I am finished with immunology and I feel rather comfortable with what I know. Now I need to buy more flash cards.
 
So excited that my Thanksgiving break is going to be spent making my biochem study guide, catching up on histo lectures and studying my a** off for anatomy...

Don't worry emiloo, endo is a ridiculously hard and complex topic. It's one of those subjects where you can never learn enough. Anyone who says "well im the endo master cause i got an A" is just kidding themselves. It seems like no matter how much you think you know, it's just the tip of the iceburg. The upside is, even clinicians rarely have the ins and outs straight so you shouldn't feel bad. And I swear the important ones will keep coming back over and over and over across multiple classes so you'll get down the abc's of them down cold whether you want to or not.

Just watched a heart wrenching video about pet loss and grieving. Ended up sobbing at the end of class... I really miss my Sugar dog.

I'm more pissed because I knew everything forwards and backwards. The test was truly ridiculous. A bunch of people actually failed it so I shouldn't complain too much. Not trying to blame it on the professor obviously but it was truly unrepresentative of the class. Thanks for your support 😍
