I just found this thread but oh my god I haven't been able to focus or think of anything except what Wednesday is going to be like..... I should hear back from 3-5 schools on the 15th and 1 on the 17th. GAAAAAAH

Dang.. I just realized after checking past threads (of concerned schools) that I won't hear back until after the 16th.. One more day added boo! 👎

Man I have been trying to just stay focused at work but I'm really excited, but at the same time i am dreading the 15th. Im probably gonna spend most of the day at the computer refreshing my email.
I probably won't hear back from my 2 state schools until at least a few days after 10/15. You're not alone in feeling impatient LOL.
I'm pretty much alternating between these two at all times.
You have my sympathy there. I actually voided an interview on the 15th to avoid being where you are right now.

I was in the ED today and got an II lulz. I also have an interview on the 15th. Strangely, I don't feel nervous at all, neither for the interview nor the impending decisions from my previous interviews.
Tomorrow...just one more day of waiting. I'll hear from my top choice for sure but I think the rest will be in November 🙁. Love all the GIFs. They accurately represent my feelings. I'll be working in the ED all day tomorrow... Glad the docs are almost as excited to hear as I am!
Counting down the hours. Really hoping some of my schools will release decisions tonight at midnight....
I have midterms tomorrow and Thursday and three next week that I haven't done anything for because I was prepping for/traveling to an interview. Hoping I get some good news tomorrow so I won't mind the impending failure 😛
Hoping the exact same thing but not counting on it...I've heard of several schools that do this.
Has anyone else just been bracing themselves for a rejection? The more I replay my interviews, the worse I begin to think that I actually did.
Also, having lower stats, I feel that I was supposed to be a stellar interviewer to make up for that (I may be becoming slightly neurotic)

Checked the school threads from last year of all the schools that I've interviewed at so far. Sorta bummed to see I'll only be hearing back from half of them tomorrow... and still terribly nervous! This stupid date has completely butchered my sleep the past 2 nights.
So. Much. This.

Wouldn't they just not notify you at that point to see what the rest of the class is like? Kinda hilarious to waitlist someone before the class is even close to full.

Typically (I don't know about all schools) they only sent out acceptances on the 15th. Rejections and waitlist notifications come in the months to follow.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say the class isn't even close to full. Depending on the school and number of interviewees they've seen, they might have a good amount of acceptances to offer, especially this year with so many early applicants.
Plus, schools over-accept a number of applicants.
If they have many more interviews, chances are they have room to wait-list people.
Of course, school dependent.

The class isn't close to full if they're still sending out acceptances past that date. Yes I know they over accept. I was just pointing out that it would be unforeseen to hear a rejection or waitlist status vs just silence.

False and false. Some schools only offer acceptances or waitlists, so if you don't get one you get the other, and some schools have already offered some WLs.
2 of the schools I will be hearing from in the next 24 hours give a decision to you on the 15th. Accept, reject, or waitlist/acceptable list. It is strange but it is nice to know where I stand so I can adjust my interviewing approach for upcoming interviews.
