Does anyone know what the typical OT schedule is at CSUDH? Ie- monday through friday all day classes? 2 classes a day? 1 class everyday?

I'm trying to decide what my living situations would be if I do decide to attend CSUDH. I currently live in Mission Viejo and while it is a far commute, it may be doable if it's not Monday-Friday during peak traffic times...

Your schedule will vary, with 7-8 classes. I believe in Spring, we had 3 days of solid classes with two days off. During the summer, my section was (un)lucky enough to be stuck with the schedule that required us to show up 5 days a week for 2-4 hours of class. Currently we have 4 days of classes and the fifth day reserved for school work.

Commuting is not fun, but it depends on the person. I drive almost 50 miles one way to get to school.

Thanks for the info! Are classes typically early in the AM? Starting at 8?

Varies. My earliest class during Spring was Anatomy at 7:30 in the am while my latest one started at 10 am. During the summer, classes tend to be in the afternoon. (Depends on the schedule of the professors.)

You can actually search the classes that you are going to take already. The catch is, the department will divide you into sections, so you might be taking a morning class, an afternoon or an evening class. You won't know what section you will be in, but you can get a general idea. From what it looks like, it will be Monday through Thursday. It won't be all day, it looks like it will be 1 to 3 classes a day.

I also talked to someone who is currently at the program right now, and they said that though in previous years, students went to class for the first semester 3 days a week, this year the department is changing schedules and it looks like we will have to be on campus for 4 days.
