DAT SECOND TIME AROUND (BIO ADVICE? SCHEDULE??)APPLICATION?

i am taking the DAT a second time this summer.

my gpa isnt the best, it is a 3.4 and i am taking an extra semester this fall so masters program is not really part of my plan

i didnt do well on previous DAT, i dont know what it was. i did horrible in biology, i know i did bad because i didnt focus too much on biology.

i need some advice on that part. not sure how to study for all that information for bio, i have cliff notes ap book and the destroyer. do i use both? which one is first? anyone have any advice they can give me on that?
i plan on taking it in a month and a half..two months MAX. anyone have any ideal schedule they might want to offer for that time studying period????


ALSO..its june now, applications just started. im not sure if i should apply now while studying or if i should be just focusing on my DAT and then do my applications around end of july, beginning of august.

i took orgoman last summer. helped me so much for chem and orgo...i got a 22 in chem and 19 in orgo. i get 19 isnt great, but i was so bad in orgo.

i scored:

Orgo: 19
chem: 22
BIO: 15 ( I know..i know... 🙁 )
PAT: 15 (I know.... 🙁 )
Math: 16
Reading: 18

Was that the scores that you were scoring in bootcamp as well? or were you doing better in bootcamp? I'm taking mine next tuesday and I'm scoring in the range of 18-20 in each section. Not sure if I should postpone

Destroyer is a bank of questions. They are amazing in that they will test you on practically everything that could possibly be on the Bio section. That being said without a strong base knowledge Destroyer will be an extremely rough time for you. That is where most people use cliffs. I read cliffs and took good notes to get the base knowledge and then started using destroyer to test if I retained and could apply that knowledge. If you struggled with bio the first time and haven't remedied that (i.e. taking a bio class) then I would recommend cliffs or barons or even kaplan if you have access and at least learn the bio material before diving into destroyer.

Also given your GPA and previous scores I would apply sooner rather than later. You can always add your new DAT score but my wife for instance already had interview scheduled in August when she went through the application cycle.
