Thanks! When are we getting note pool for our class???? Anyone?
And Navy, how much did you study for the tests? Couple of days before or as you went along? Seems like you want to give time to Biochem/Anatomy before you sit down for your beh. med.
I studied for Beh med a little as I went along and did a lot of cramming at the end. Definitely worry more about Biochem and Anatomy at this point for a number of reasons including:
1. DMU has great faculty in those departments
2. The classes are a lot harder and on the whole more relevant for medical practice for anyone not going into psych.
3. You can learn everything you need to know about Beh Med for boards in 2 days, there's no real point having it be so long.

Hey DMU Class of 2010, a word of advice. Watch what you say on this forum, you are not as faceless as you might think. Students from all of the DMU classes as well as professors look at what is going on here. Watch your language, act respectful (toward each other and the faculty) and be professional. If you are posting alot of this stuff while in lecture to help time pass, you are not being professional. If you don't like the professor, get up and leave. Don't sit there behind your laptops and mock a person who is there to help you. Sure its Ok to vent, but don't use language that you wouldn't use if you were out in public (don't let other classes that have posted here previously be your guide as to what is OK to post, many of those who have gone before you have gone too far.) Keep it clean, you are future physicians, start acting like it now. After all you've only been at this about 2-3 weeks now? Wait a few weeks and you will have all kinds of stuff that will REALLY be stressing you out. My 2 cents, take it for what its worth (OK, now start tearing me apart)
This is partially true, beware the DMU thought police! People who don't like what is said on here have a spineless way of going to the Dean's office to complain about what is said instead of being adults about it and either posting a rebutal or talking to you in person. Don't worry, they're the same ones who tattled to the teacher in 2nd grade when someone passed a note.
The funny thing is, this is an anonymous message board, while they can guess who is who, they can never prove it. Also, who cares if you get called to the Dean's office? Can they really reprimand you for thinking? Can you get in trouble for posting your thoughts on an anonymous message board that is not run by nor affiliated with the school? NOPE! It's a sad attempt at intimidation that seems to mostly have sprouted from some DMU students' desires to never have anything negative said about OMM and the blatant lack of research to support it.
As far as talking about classes, profs, and classmates try to keep it clean and mostly nice, however anyone who claims they've never had an un-nice thought about a prof, class, or classmate is either lying or comatose. But still, try to be mostly nice
😀

1). And quite frankly (speaking as DMU COM student) you guys are griping and complaining more than any previous class. Cool it and try to find the "fun/enjoyment" in the fact that you now in medical school.
That's a load of manure the size of which has not been seen in these parts in some time. How do you guage how much a class complains? By posts with bad words in them?
Every class since the 2006 class has been told they complain more than any class before them. Is it true? Maybe. But until you complain so much you change the testing methods of an entire department because they are sick of hearing your class whine, you haven't beat the 09 class.

Not to beat a dead horse but a friend of mine was called into the deans office for SDN comments. So Dotsero does have a point. That's all!
If the friend is the one I know, he had never even been to the site prior to getting called in by the DMU thought police. That's how pathetic the Thought police are, they would rather have someone get called into the Dean's office when they didn't even do the actions they're accused of than talk to them in person like adults. It's really sad actually.
