So, at the moment I am an Early Decision Applicant for an MD school, with the following stats

Major - Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers

cGPA: 3.83

sGPA: 3.82

MCAT 1: 129/125/128/128 510

MCAT 2: 130/127/127/127 511 this is my concern, I retook, and dropped on B/B and P/S

ORM Asian

Research 1000 hr
1 poster
2 paper in the works (first/second author most likely)

Clinical 2000 hr

Volunteer 1000 hr

Full-time Engineer

Bartender

As an ED applicant, I cannot make any decisions to apply to DO schools until end of September at the very earliest. I have chosen to wait it out and see what the MD school would say. In the meantime, with my background in studying/working for physical therapy, I realized the broad application of DO. I do not intend on pursuing any higher sub-specialties, I only wanted to pursue EM because of personal and belief reasons. I have friends that live in the greater Philly area and I would love to be there with them. So in summary, what do you all think regarding application in October?

The DO cycle is longer, so you're fine in applying in october.

Chances of acceptance are 100% on you. You are very likely to get interviews.

You do need to have more schools on the list though.

Suggest adding UNECOM, VCOM, WVSOM, MUCOM, CUSOM, KYCOM, CCOM, NOVA, ACOM, KCOM
