Nevermind. When I go to the portal and check status, I only have a message 'secondary invite'. I am confused if I submitted it correctly? no confirmation yet.
 
That's not the portal. In the e-mail they sent you to complete the secondary there is another link to check the app status. Read through that e-mail again, it should be there.

Yes I did. So I made changes to my comment. Secondary invite is the only message I received. Did you get confirmation?

same problem here and I submitted my secondary 7/25. My secondary says "validation passed: Yes" and my submission date on it as well.
 
Can someone post the essay prompts here please?
So I can prep for them

My secondary says "Validation Passed: Yes" with a time stamp. I called admissions and they said I was absolutely complete and they had all my grades, MCAT, primary, secondary and LORs. So, you should be good too!

I got an application complete email about a week after submitting

I got my II call today! Beyond excited! I have heard so many wonderful things about this campus and I can't wait to be there in person! Just FYI my stats weren't that amazing so to those of you worried about low scores don't worry too much. I do have a lot of shadowing and volunteering and I love that they really look at the whole person and not just individual scores. My interview is scheduled for the middle of October. I received email notification that my secondary was received 7/14. If anyone has any tips for interview day I would be most grateful!

I do not have my excel file at this time to tell you an exact date but it took around 2 weeks.
 
Yes you are considered for all three campuses even if you only sent in the primary to one campus. I only sent my primary to the Virginia campus but got a II at the Carolinas campus.
 
Just checked my portal and discovered the interview tab =) Praise God!
Primary sent: 6/27/2016. Secondary sent: 6/30/2016. II: 8/29/2016.
OOS applicant. cGPA: 3.7; sGPA: 3.9.
I've been working as a registered nurse for 5 years.

Hey, I am in Canada and my mobile on my phone is turned off, will this be a problem, or should I check to see if I have an invite tab on my portal in case? I may call the school later this week.

Edit: the vcomvcamp.vcom.edu is what I am to check right?

Yep thats the website. From what I have heard, if you got the complete email, then you are in-line for review by the committee. I would keep checking the portal in case as well since some haven't received the email and still got invites.

I was kinda bummed because I was getting secondaries from all over, and I was thinking I got screened out somehow. I checked my junk folder, and voila, there it was - two weeks after they sent it. IT had actually been my first secondary received, but my junk filter in Gmail grabbed it. needless to say, I turned it around quickly. (and saved $25 in doing so.)

As of now, I am secondary complete. crossing fingers.
 
I really like VCOM, went to college in NC and leaned about this school through a visiting rep, but the one thing that IIRC kinds bugs me is that their rotations are heavy on primary care. Can anyone comment on this (not saying PC is bad mind you)?
 
They told me they needed to do an in depth analyses of my primary and it could take up to 3 months. That was a month ago or so. Anybody else in the same boat?

I haven't asked, but I've been waiting almost a month on the secondary.
 
Hmmmm....I've been checking my status every few days; submitted my secondary mid-August. All of my LOR writers had red checkmarks next to their names a few days ago (assuming they hadn't been verified yet). Now there are 0 names listed in that section. :dead:
 
Maybe it doesn't mean anything..mine doesn't even show my letters but according to the admissions office I'm complete :shrug:

Haha well hopefully I'm getting mixed up with another school. Thanks for the peace of mind :banana:
 
FYI for those that are still waiting for completeness. Since I submitted the secondary in mid July and haven't received any confirmation that my app is complete I emailed today to ask if my app is missing anything. They sent back a generic reply saying that my app is under review for completeness, it takes a long time due to hella apps, and they will send an email correspondence when my app has in fact been found to be complete.

I go to the school and have seen zero people come in for interviews. So I am pretty sure they haven't even started those. I got one of the first interviews last year and it was either late September or October. Everyone here needs to relax, take a breath and enjoy applying. I was on edge a lot for no reason. What is meant to happen will come to be. You guys will be fine. Good luck.

So I didn't have anything in my portal as well, but today it shows a green check next to my LORs. Maybe check again since it looks like they updated the portal.
 
I didn't receive an e-mail letting me know, but I checked today and had an interview invite in my portal! So everyone check there periodically too if you aren't already! I may have had a phone call, but I've been at work all day and keep my phone in airplane mode, so I'm not sure.

Did you choose the Carolina campus specifically? How do you like the school? What

I choose VCOM-CC honestly for the reason that it's close to my house, surprisingly you need family more than ever in medical school. Not really the time in my opinion to go far away and that its mission driven. PM for more info.

Does anyone know if they send out an email stating your app is complete?

Last time I heard from VCOM was through an email telling me they were waiting for my LOR's. My LOR's were sent a while ago an have been checked off in the portal, but no email.

I contacted them about that because I am still waiting for a complete email as well. They told me that everyone will receive an email when their app is complete but it may take a long time due to number of apps. See post #90 of this thread.
