Hey Everyone,

I'll keep this short: Considering all things (the schools, faculty and staff, their locations, extra-curricular ops, etc), Would you attend Dartmouth or Georgetown?

I would appreciate any input, especially from students who attend either school. Especially if you are a CA transplant.

Thanks

I vote for Dartmouth. Depends on whether you have to live in a big city or whether you'd be happy for 4 years in Hangover, NH. Dartmouth's hospital is nicer, staff are very friendly and there's no place better if you like the outdoors.

I'll put in my two cents about georgetown. You obviously sat through Mrs. Sullivan's talk about cura personalis etc. Take that to heart. If you're interested in getting an education with much more of a humanities base then georgetown is the way to go. Obviously not every single student here buys into cura personalis but those are the same students that get frustrated at having to attend ethics courses when they want to be studying for "real classes". 1st year probably close to half your lecture time will be non-science based. For me I love that I get a formal education in the history of healthcare, managed healthcare, religious traditions, etc.

Bad things about ole' gtown. No one comes here for the facilities... the lecture halls and the library are a bit subpar in my opinion. But, on the other hand, DC has got to beat our rural new hampshire.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.
