I have attempted to "leave" a few times.... I think the longest I lasted was 7 days. Although I did make a long disappearance for about 5 months between my second and third application cycles, but I wasn't as "into" SDN back then as I am now (there wasn't any ww back then.... 😱)
I think I lasted longer than that in my break during 1st year. Maybe a month. But then exams started... and I needed diversion. Speaking of that ADD thread, I have never been diagnosed, but damn I can't concentrate on any one thing very long it seems.

I just thought of a "great" game mechanic called "the match" (I was inspired by SnS discussing her match experience).
There is one item for every player in the game.
Every player sends me a list in order that they want an item.
I go down the list of items and for all the people who chose it #1 I randomly assign it to one person.
And do that for all #1s.
And then move to #2 and so on.
Might be a bit of work, but it would be fun to see which people try to get the investigation item, or trying for something less popular.
I would probably include resurrection and killing but only put a % chance they work, so even if you get a great item, it might not work.
oooh.. .And I just thought of a great role to go along with it (But that is my secret)!

Are you serious?! Please do explain....I just don't understand, but you must remember that this is coming from someone who loved the original ponies (toys, show, and movie) when she was a kid (and I guess still now) so I don't like the new MLP stuff.
So...like...you want to put together a MLP game? 🙂
When it first started becoming a thing, I was like, "That sounds pretty stupid." But then one day my sister ended up watching an episode and I heard it in the background and decided to see what the fuss was about. The whole episode had this Hulk Hogan parody pony and used fake "Eye of the Tiger" music and I laughed pretty hard. So I decided to give the whole series a shot and it hooked me.
Basically the animation, stories, and references are all fantastic.
Haha, I suppose I could see what I come up with!
Hmmmm.....maybe I need to give the new MLP a shot. If you feel brave enough to try, I'd be happy to help co-mod if we could add some old school stuff in there too! 🙂

We are collaborating right now and brainstorming a game to ummm.... confuse the feck out of people or at least be entertaining.... hehehehe... we want to be able to roll something out pretty quickly

Also, you should draw up each item's rank list for the role they want to go to.

We aren't doing Indiana Jones right now. I haven't seen the movies in quite some time and don't really have time to go back and re-watch them. We are just going to come up with something random and crazy right now.
But yes, we will "roll" out Indiana Jones at some point in the future... 😉
I do have a mafia ww game ready to rollout, but it seems that people would like me to play a few more games first before being a mod for one

That's true! I couldn't very well play it now, could I? hmmm...I don't like that at all. Do you have an idea when you want to run it?
I like sooner better than later! Maybe after devyn and DVM's game, that way you're not modding two in a row.
I say hire an experienced mod and go for it.. Just keep it small size.
I rent out my co-modding talents at $100/game, that includes all vote miscounts, PMs sent to the wrong person, and mod kills at no extra charge.
If it's going to be small scale then the mafia is the wrong route to go, since I am using the mafia bots code that I had which accounted for 30 people. Maybe I i will save that then and try and develop a smaller one for several WW games from now
You will definitely need to play a few more games before modding and even then as SOV said take on another experienced mod to help you..... and you will not get 30 players to play a game from a new mod - it is often only the very experienced mods that get that many players and we have been trying to keep the games smaller to avoid lack of participation
Also no offense... but in the Pirates game your defense of yourself showed how new to the game in the SDN forums you are which you definitely will need to get used to a bit more.... swearing you are not a wolf and then asking the mods to "mod kill" you in the next 5 games you are a wolf in will never fly and made me want to lynch you right then.... and the fact that you also stated the mods would never give a large wolf role to a newb also showed you might want to play in a few more games....
Anything above 24 gets a little more complicated.
Balancing roles over a large game can be tricky, not making it a ridiculous amount of work, and not having it be completely boring with so many players.
Personally I prefer the smaller ones anyway... I kind of don't even pay much attention at the beginning of big games (unless I have an awesome role)
I hope I've gained enough cred for when I crank mine out!
if you're using code, you may not be in the right forum for those types of games.
Unfortunately, you might need to find another co-mod if you run it after the next game. If I mod another game anytime soon, I might end up divorced.
