Had my interview for U of Glasgow today; I think it went well. For any of you that are interviewing this week, or next week in D.C., don't sweat it. Professor Sullivan and Ms. Wason were very nice and non-confrontational. Just try to relax and be yourself. Good luck to all.

Funny - we all know them as Martin and Joyce. 🙂 It's pretty informal here and I'm sure you'll love it if you do come here.

Congrats on your acceptance! Will you be coming here?

It looks like I will be starting Glasgow in the fall. I will be visiting Glasgow at the end of march (after I visit London). Although I am still waiting to here from Davis and London, I think Glasgow would be a good fit.
😀

Hey guys,

Just started up on this website... have also been accepted to Glasgow. Wanted to know what any current/prospective students have to say about their experiences with the college...

Hey birdvet2006,
Lots of good info on your site, thanks! The exams sound brutal. Do you pass doen test files from year to year (old exams)?

Yes, and old exams have been REAL helpful! Especially for anatomy (where they repeat the short answer questions over the years). You can find the old exams in the library (where you will spend what seems like hours over the years copying them). Sometimes they may be available online (through Moodle, our student website) or given to you in your course information book (which you get at the start of each year).

Thanks for pointing out Rebecca's website - I just spent a long time reading all her journals and looking at photos. I didn't even know the site existed! 🙂 Maybe I'll link it to my page.

Hey whenpigsfly,

Congrats!! Check out this site:

Glad you liked the site! I've been trying to set it up to help incoming students, cause we got almost no information when we came over. If it weren’t for BirdVet's sight, I would have known nothing. And she is much better about writing frequent journal entries than I am! This year we are setting up a BIG VET/little vet program so incoming foreign students will be matched up with a current foreign student (who wants to participate 🙂 ). Hope to get everyone matched up by early summer so you have someone specific to answer all your questions and help you get set up in Glasgow when you arrive. We want to make it a bit easier for you to transition over.
God bless....
