That was not me, but I can review your essay if you want! I've already submitted my application, and I'm quite good at grammar and maintaining good sentence structure.

Thanks. Good luck for your interview. I had been a little concerned because about two weeks after I got the first email from them confirming they had received my application, I got another one. This confused me and made me wonder if something had been missing from my application.

Yeah. OP said that they heard back within a month. So we both just probably need to give it a little more time (especially me since I submitted it this month lol)

How was your interview? I’m hoping (if I get offered one) it’s not a group interview because those freak me out more!!

Sorry to say that it was semi-group, but really it's not that bad! So don't freak out, its a very casual and conversational type of interview.

Awesome! Best of luck to you :) I just submitted my application to Temple today, so I'm sure it will take a little longer. But when did you apply?
Thank you so much! I submitted to Temple on 9/16, got an email on 9/17 that my application was under review and heard back from them on 9/18 for the interview. I'm sure you will hear back from them soon as well!:)

Hello Everybody! I'm getting ready to apply for the third time. I applied first in the 2014-2015 cycle and then again this cycle, the 2017-2018 cycle. The reason for the gap is I struggled to find a job after moving home following graduation and then had to have ACL/Meniscus surgery that all set me back financially. I obviously haven't gotten in either of the first two times I applied, but am still on the waitlst for the 2017-2018 cycle at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. I am working on several different things to improve my application this time. Here are my stats:
Undergrad: Appalachian State University (GO APPS)
Major: Exercise Science
Overall GPA: 3.44
Prereq GPA: 3.5-3.7 (currently depending on the program) I am currently retaking Anatomy & Physiology I and plan to retake II and Physics I this fall.
GRE Scores: V162, Q152, AW 4.5
Observation Hours: 1200 hours (1140 in out patient clinic that see ortho, neuro, wound care, and geriatric, 30 in in-patient, 30 in aquatics) Planned 384 more hours in rehabiliation hospital.
Extracurriculars: 2 different jobs, Health Professions Club (several leadership roles), Exercise Science Club, Governing Board for Residence Hall first two years, SEP at UNC-Chapel Hill Participate, Research in Exercise Science Lab for 3 years, Journal Club, 60 hours at on-campus therapy clinic (not counted above because it was overseen by Athletic Trainers), and volunteering during the summer in PT clinic. Currently working full-time, retaking classes, and volunteering at a rehabilitation hospital.
LOR: 3 PTs, 1 Professor
Planning to Apply: Duke, George Washington University, UNC-Chapel Hil, University of Maryland-Baltimore, Methodist University, Eastern Tennessee State University, Elon University, and Winston-Salem State University.

Update: I was actually accepted to Winston-Salem State University for the class beginning in 2019. I was on the waitlist without even knowing it.

The interview was a really cool experience. It was a group interview and at the end they gave us a tour of the campus. Just be you and let your passion for physical therapy come out! Best of luck!

Your application looked almost exactly like mine! I applied to Campbell University ED and was accepted last month for the January 2020 cohort. Trust me, it is absolutely possible with your stats. If you wanted to do anything to improve at this point, practice your interviewing skills and if you can get one more observation setting (acute/subacute) that would help you earn max points in that category depending on the school. This was feedback that I received from 2 of the schools I visited. Best of luck!
