I've been lurking for quite a while and decided to finally post my stats! I've been exceptionally worried as I've spent the past while working full-time and fulfilling pre-requisites, and my experience hours are a little short (so short that I couldn't get a PT to write me a LoR). I'm hoping my academic record, extra-curriculars and post-bacc experience will boost my application! And if not, then now that all of my pre-requisites are completed I can spend the next year gaining more experience and apply for round two.

Pretty crazy, I just got the MGH acceptance which means I got in to every school I applied to (except for OSU, but I believe that is only because I turned down their interview). That kind of blows my mind. :wideyed: I think my age must have given me an advantage, so I hope this is strong encouragement for those of you considering a career change and worried that you're too far out of academia to get back in! :) Just go for it! You can do it!

Congrats! MGH is one of my top two favorite programs right now (the other one being UMiami). I have been accepted but idk how I can justify spending $152,000 on just tuition... I would love to attend but it is seeming unrealistic financially :( I also received a really good scholarship to Simmons but don’t know a whole lot about the program! Looking for some insight on that too

Thank you! I applied in the very beginning of November so it only took about a month and a half to hear back if that helps you gain an idea when you’ll get a decision. I received a phone call regarding my acceptance but she also said they shipped out a letter in the mail, I just haven’t received that yet. Good luck!!

I'd be thrilled and honored to be at any of the schools I applied to. I'm still considering what my best options might be, and thinking of politely inquiring as to whether anyone is willing to match scholarship offers I've gotten.

How many hours of observation do you have? Your GRE is a little low. I would study more and try to retake it in case you need to reapply next season.

Observation in a lab? 5 Years Work wise? Only 1 1/2. My application is already in review :/
