Hello everyone,
I have been lucky enough to receive to acceptances so far. One to KCU-COM and one to A.T. Still KCOM. All personal preferences aside I am wondering if anyone could shed some light into which school would serve me best if I were looking to potentially specialize.

In this case I think it all comes down to personal preference honestly. KCU doesn't push PC at all and it's curriculum is conducive to boards and it's location in a larger city allows research opps. KCOM has an extremely large alumni network and also does very well when it comes to specializing as well. I think it is just up to you.

One is urban the other is very rural. Heard both are good, and the drastic difference in living could be a deciding factor depending on what you prefer

Like most said, it comes down to personal preference. Also consider cost of attendance and what that gets you in the area. KCOMs max COA is higher than KCU. But, one could argue that you could live much more comfortably at a rural school in a decent apartment by yourself during preclinical years without even taking out the full COA. Contrast that with a school in an urban area where the full COA might only be enough to get you a place with a roommate. You should do some online apartment hunting.

I think it comes down to cost and urban vs rural and maybe curriculum preference. I think most would prefer KCU, but neither is really magically better than the other.

Best of luck
