2024-2025 A.T. Still University (Kirksville, Missouri) ATSU-KCOM

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am withdrawing my interview here, I hope that it goes to one of you! It was in January

For anyone who has interviewed already, did you attend the reception the evening before your interview? What did you think of it?
I definitely liked it. It’s more laid back and you get to hear from students. It also helped calm my nerves because they explained how the interviews are more conversational

Okay, that is awesome to hear. Thanks for the response! Did you dress more business casual for it?

I think most everyone was dressed business casual for mine... they never specifically said the dresscode in any email so I would go business casual to be safe

Hi! I was wondering if anyone who has already attended an interview here please give some insight into interview day? Thanks in advance🙂

It is really laid back, and they try their best to put you at ease. I had good conversation with each of my interviewers, and all the student ambassadors were helpful and kind.

For anyone who has interviewed already - what events during the day include guests?

Withdrawing my acceptance, hoping it goes to one of you! Kirksville was lovely, and so was the faculty, students and staff!!

Can anyone speak about the quality of rotations? Do students usually land at their top options, and do most locations have residents as well?

I would be careful choosing a school just based on the rotations listed. I was accepted very last minute without having ever been to a school (virtual interview in July) and chose it out of my other options due to seeing that they had a rotation site in my home state. Turns out the school no longer offers that rotation and just never updated the website or the virtual interview presentation and handout. :/ I struggle with being so far from home and knowing I won't be able to go home for rotations now either. Def call the school and ask if what you want is offered if you're trying to decide between schools and basing your decision off of a rotation site.

Anyone know the post interview acceptance rate? Also, what’s the turnaround time in getting a decision after the interview?

Withdrew interview from here to attend ICOM, best of luck!

It was around 1.5 weeks from interview to acceptance if I remember correctly. They told us when to expect to hear back during the interview process.

Got an ii today. Sent my secondary in like 2 weeks ago, so impressed with the turn around speed. Turns out interviews are in person, which kinda sucks but at least Ill get to check out the school and meet some potential classmates.

Anyone wanna pregame the reception. I’ll bring shooters

I got an email from atsu-kcom yesterday saying their prescreening committee has reviewed my application and that the committee is requesting my unofficial transcript showing my fall 2024 grades to make a decision about interviewing me. Is this a good sign I may get an II if my fall 2024 grades show improvement? ATSU is one of my top choice schools.
