How many licks does it take? The 20 questions game thread.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I could have sworn we answered that in another thread.

No! If you guys did then sorry I don't go memorizing ever single thread on this forum like some people do :meanie:🙄😛

Does it start with the letter P?

No, but that's pretty funny. I would have put that solidly in "mineral" to begin with.

Things made by / of animals like leather coats also fit into "animal." (We never really figured out what plastic / petroleum is... mineral? animal? vegetable?)

Really? 😕

It's a mineral. lol

That would be like claiming crude oil is an animal or olive oil is a plant. That's silly.

Well, olive oil isn't a mineral... Leather isn't a mineral either, but would be by similar points as classifying olive oil as a mineral.

Do you eat it?

It would be gross to eat it, but some people do.

Those would all fall under the heading "things" as in person place or thing.

That's true, but I think that's a different game. 😉

Whenever I play the animal/mineral/vegetable version in mixed company, there's always friendly banter about what fits into which category. *shrug*

Does it live on the human body?

Does it start with the letter R?

- It may fall into animal category (I put it there originally) but the argument has been made for mineral; it is definitely not vegetable. It is also definitely a "thing" (person, place, thing).
- It does not walk on 4 legs.
- It is not an owle.
- It does not have feathers.
- It does not live in water.
- It does not have legs.
- It is not microscopic, you can touch & see it.
- It is not a pet rock.
- It does not start with the letter P in any name variation I can think of.
- It would be gross to eat it, but some people do.
- You don't wear it (at least not on purpose). 😉
- Does it live on the human body? Yes, but I wouldn't say it lives.
- It is not on the hair (again, at least not on purpose).
- It's not specifically a part of the body, like you'd learn in anatomy class (i.e., nails).
- It has no motility (besides gravity, I suppose).

Does it start with the letter R?

No, it does not start with the letter R in any name variation I can think of.
Just out of curiosity, why "R"?

IDK I'm just throwing out letters for absolutely no reason 🙄😛

Does it start with any of the letters in my username?

You guys made me google. Which is going to make you giggle, when you get the answer.

Is it a liquid?

I suppose, until it dries out.

Is it composed of living cells?

Not primarily.

Does it start with any of the letters in my username?

See, this is more clever than just throwing out letters. 😀

There is one naming variation I can think of that starts with one of the letters in your name, but it's not the most common way I hear it.

I wasted everyone's chances by asking dumb questions 🙄

I understand your animal/mineral debate now, though I still think "thing" is a fine category.

Some of your replies are pretty funny. 👍 Wearing and eating are my personal fav.

I agree, perhaps I'll play it as "thing" if I ever choose a booger again. Now you see why I was amused I had to google it.

I don't understand it 😕
A booger is neither an animal or a mineral to me....
You're choice was kind of disgusting kiyo!

C'mon, you laughed, you know it.

The traditional game of 20 questions (at least how I've always played it), the person who gives the clue answers the question "animal, mineral, vegetable" first, and for free, then everyone else takes turns asking 20 yes-no questions. Out of those three, what is a booger?

Neither! :barf:

I didn't think it was funny.
If I do another analogy thing, I'm going to associate you with a booger :meanie:😀

New round - Animal, mineral, or vegetable?

Mineral. (In good faith, I don't think the category would be debated for what I have in mind.)

PS, Owle told me to. 😛 B, if you decide you want your turn, I will abdicate.
