Same. Pending status waiting for scroll and appointment memo (orders). No current news from Army. I'm still waiting on my official memo and I was in the first boards!
Whatever you want. Some people get dressy, others just a nice outfit.Female here. I am commissioning (USAF) in a few days. What is appropriate attire?

I wore a suit. But for ladies don’t know tbh. I have seen people on the Facebook HPSP Airforce page wearing dresses so a dress should be fine and of course don’t forget to bring a camera and your family members. Just a heads up and something I didn’t know previously is that you will be giving your first salute so bring with you a silver dollar.Female here. I am commissioning (USAF) in a few days. Just like @Toothless2023 said, I wore a suit for my ceremony. Invite your friends and family and a camera too as you want this to be a time that you remember! There is a great post found at the following website to walk you through some of the things that you can do during it: How to Plan a Meaningful HPSP Commissioning CeremonyFemale here. I'm in a similar situation, (SF tryna kill us$$). The max I can pull out approved by the school for the 2019-2020 school year is ~$14,500. It will be cutting it really close!Does anyone know of anybody that received a separate scholarship from a third party in addition to the HPSP? Would any problems arise from that? I'm going to have to take out loans because the stipend wont cover living expenses, so I am curious if you anyone knows of others in similar situations?
I wish I could pull that much out. I'm capped at 6k a year, which for a family of 4 is a little bit not enough lol. Part time jobs on the side keep afloat. And some side loans from family.I'm in a similar situation, (SF tryna kill us$$). The max I can pull out approved by the school for the 2019-2020 school year is ~$14,500. For anyone who cares, just got accepted into the program today for the 4 year Navy HPSP after being on the alternate list. Hope some of you will hear good news as well. Go Navy!
Whichever was the first board meeting, I believe that it was January.Which board did you submit to?
anyone know anything about the AF alternate list?

Has anyone already commissioned? My recruiter is saying someone will commission me via FaceTime because they can't make it into the recruiting office. Is that common?
During the last few months, after I completed my application, there wasn’t a lot of communication from my recruiter. I don’t know exactly when my application was actually submitted, and it could have very well been in the February boards. I don’t know how common it is for alternates to be picked up, but I wish you the best of luck!Ok, because I was submitted to the 2nd (Feb) board since I didn’t have an acceptance letter in time to submit to the first board.I didn’t realize they selected alternates at the first board. My recruiter never mentioned any. Do you have any idea how many were placed on the alternate list from the first board?
All I know is 19 of us from the 2nd board were also placed on the alternate list. I’m waiting to see when anyone from the 2nd board begins to hear anything.
Yes. Previous posts and even my recruiter highly recommended to apply/accept loans just for safety. Even you commissioned and submitted every documents on time, you never know when you get paid. Some got both tuition and stipends on time, but some had do use loans first then got reimbursement.Does anyone know if it is common for funds to be dispersed a month or two after starting school. I have been trying to figure out if I should accept loans just in case, and return it when I get my scholarship funds. Any info would be great!
Yes, this is common. My recruiter said it could take up to 2 months into school for tuition funds to be released. He recommended only pulling out loans for living expenses (and not necessarily loans for tuition, etc.) since the first monthly stipends won't come in until 2 weeks to a month after the calendar day first day of school. Your financial aid office knows you have the HPSP, so they should be more lenient with you since they know the money will come eventually.Does anyone know if it is common for funds to be dispersed a month or two after starting school. I'm dental HPSP but I'm assuming the oath is similar among professions. I believe this means your recruiter needs to receive the green light for you to become a commissioned officer. During this process, they finalize your scrolls and paperwork. This also took a long time for me.Does anyone know about Oath Out? I was accepted for a 4 year medical scholarship with the AF back in March and my recruiter says that I will need Oath Out approval before commissioning. The process seems to keep going on and on. I was wondering if anyone else is familiar with it? Thanks!

I had a 3.75 and 21AA and commissioned last week for the 4 year with the NavyDoes anyone have the average stats for acceptance of the HPSP for Army and Navy? I’ve talked with two different recruiters and their numbers are way off. I’m sitting with a 3.47 GPA and a 22AA DAT.
That's awesome, congrats! Aside from your stats, what do you think made you stand out as an applicant? I'm really trying for the HPSP 4 year for this upcoming cycle.I had a 3.75 and 21AA and commissioned last week for the 4 year with the Navy

Thank you!
Not much really. Just make sure you make your personal statement show why you'd be proud/honored to serve in the Navy. Stay on top of your recruiter to submit things before deadlines and get through MEPS.

Keep in in mind the GPA they look at is your "degree awarding school GPA". So if you were a transfer student, the GPA they take into consideration is only from the classes and GPA you received from your bachelor awarding school, not your cumulative GPA from all schools attended.I had a 3.75 and 21AA and commissioned last week for the 4 year with the Navy
I received an email from someone on Tuesday welcoming me to the Navy Medicine Accessions Department (NAVMEDAD) Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) and to Navy Medicine!Has anyone who's commissioned with the Navy received any contact from a detailer or someone other than their recruiter yet?

For some reason, it will not let me PM you.. What do you want me to send you? The contact information? It is a very lengthy informational email.Would you mind PMing me that email? No one has contacted me yet. My recruiter told me someone from Bethesda would be in contact with me to help me figure out the timeline of when to go to ODS, when to do externships, etc.
Yeah would you mind sending me the contact info and just maybe the gist of the email? I'd really appreciate it.For some reason, it will not let me PM you.. What do you want me to send you? The contact information? It is a very lengthy informational email.
I've just changed my settings, so maybe it'll work if you try againFor some reason, it will not let me PM you.. What do you want me to send you? The contact information? It is a very lengthy informational email.
