Has Illinois ever sent out interview invites in December? Curious if they're going to stick to their timeline with only this afternoon and tomorrow left haha

I personally feel it will be after New Years unfortunately but hoping I am wrong.

I'm class of 2026 and we got our invitations to interview on January 28th. Not sure how helpful that is, but I'd be surprised if they were released in December. Still, fingers crossed you all hear from them earlier than previous years!

It'd be nice to hear by mid-January since they want transcripts by February 1st! I don't really want to send in my transcript and then find out I'm not even interviewing šŸ™
Last year we were sent invites on Jan 19th
Are interviews held in person or on zoom?
They're on zoom with 1-2 vets and a current student. I was interviewed by an alumni and a 4th year. It's actually a pretty chill interview

Has anyone received updates from Phase 2? Phase 2 results were to be released in December, but I haven't received any updates!

I know it said December in the email, but people from previous years have been saying that they got their interview invitations in mid-January, so we might be waiting a bit longer.

I noticed that their website says the following in the FAQ section:

"You will not hear from the College until all applications have been evaluated by the Admissions Advisory Committee. This process is usually completed by the middle of January at which time invitations will be mailed to the highest ranking applicants."

At this point, they likely meant they'd finalize interview decisions in December 2024, but won't communicate them to us until mid January.

Hmmm, so probably some time next week at the earliest

Who can we send our fall transcript to? Is it just the school itself or did they have a specific email?

Hi! I have a quick question, if I am graduating this coming spring. Does that mean am applying through the Plan A or Plan B admissions wise? I am missing the speech course requirement for plan B and I have kind of been ignoring that fact so far. My thoughts was that I would be considered for Plan A since I would have my bachelors degree by the time I would start school and I meet all of those requirements. Thanks!

You should be Plan A as long as you are graduating prior to matriculation. You could always email ASA to confirm that you’re being evaluated correctly. I don’t remember if there is a spot in VMCAS for when your anticipated graduation from undergrad is or not, since it’s been a hot minute since I applied.

I’ve scrolled back to previous Illinois threads, and it looks like Illinois typically sends out interview invitations on Fridays (at least for the past 3 years). I’m going to make a prediction that they will send out Phase 2 results on either the 17th or the 24th. (I guess they could send them on the 31st too, but I hope we hear back earlier than that. :xf:)

I'm really hoping it'll be the 17th! I've got an internship starting soon and it'd be nice to know if I have to pack a suit or not 😭

For selecting a location, I am a Michigan resident but will be at an internship in Florida during the interview dates. Are they asking this for the sake of timezones only? Or should I select "Other" and put "Michigan resident, will be in Florida during interview"

IS interview! Glad that I can finally stop refreshing my email every 5 minutes for the time being lol

Edit: also I read somewhere that if you are invited to interview, historically you end up making the waitlist regardless, does anyone know if this is the case?

Likely timezone for scheduling so they don’t schedule someone on the west coast for an 8 am interview that is 6 am their time šŸ˜… best bet is to email or call ASA and confirm that they really are only asking for timezone purposes since most people here likely won’t have an answer for you
