Says it will take 2 days to get to me in KS. So tomorrow!

Also, does the status page look different to anyone? I swear they shifted stuff around/redid margins, but I might be crazy.
 
I am in Chicago, and my interview letter took *8* days to get here from Urbana!!! I am also just now getting holiday cards...

You people in California will probably hear before I do.

SmallandLA, no change in the status page. I've been checking it so often it is burned into my retinas.
 
i was super excited because i saw stuff in my mailbox... but then i opened it and it was a sandal. apparently my school is trying to advertise for summer school w/flip flops? delusional from checking sdn too much...
 
i called the admissions office today and they mailed out the letters this morning 🙁 not yesterday. so, tomorrow hopefully?

Okay, it did take 6 days for my interview invite to get to me...but there was a postal holiday and Sunday...so maybe Friday for me...?

Please note that the application seasons for the following professional programs are ending: medical, dental, optometry, veterinary.

Letters from schools will be placed in bins according to their destination and date received. DO NOT pick up bundles for delivery until at LEAST 3 days have passed from receipt at the post office as other forms of mail have priority (i.e. bills, credit card offers, Valu-Pak) for delivery.

For real, I swear this note must exist and I'm starting to wonder if there's a special super delayed pile reserved for giant evelopes with "congratulations!" written on the outside. Good luck to everyone, and good luck studying because I know that I'm finding it impossible to concentrate on classes right now!
 
Well the letters have to go through Mailing Center, then the hub at the post office, then out to their destination. Last time, I didn't get my letter for 4 days.

Here's hoping for tomorrow. :luck::xf::luck:

Awww man...Truth, I thought for sure you would have gotten yours today. If it's 4 days for you, we probably won't hear in Chicago til well into next week. Maybe I should just call the ASA office and tell them my mailbox has been indefinitely taken over by poisonous snakes, and the USPS won't come near...so they should probably just tell me over the phone.

man... i'll drive up there for the three hours to get my letter! thats faster than waiting forever for it to come!

Actually, lunazzurra, I'm in Champaign too (you can probably tell from my info)... if it gives you an idea of how long it'll take, my family lives in Chicago and send me stuff all the time. It takes about 3-4 days for mail to go through between here and there.

Also, as easy as it may sound to just contact the ASA office, I already tried emailing them asking if I could call to find out my status before I got my letter (I know, I have ansy-pants, and that probably wasn't the best idea lol). But anyway they never responded. So I'm guessing they're not allowed to tell us? Or maybe I just didn't get in and they feel bad telling me straight out. 😳

If I'm correct, I think letters went out on Friday last year (the week of the interview), and we got them on Monday. I'm not too sure, though... I sort of tried to repress my memories from that week, since it wasn't exactly a great week...
 
Yeah, 4 days.
I too live in Champaign and it took that long.
It stinks that they don't just drive the letters directly to the post office, but that's the university system for you. Did I mention, there is a USPS office as well as the mailing center?

So that's mailing center to USPS office to the hub to the the destination.

Not cool. 🙁
 
yea hopefully tomorrow! i definitely chased down my mailman and made him dig through the pile of mail for my stuff....and nada!
 
I'm going to stalk my mailman, then decide whether or not I wanna go to my next class. Mail usually comes at 12:30 and my class is at 1...so it's a toss-up. I will definitely have a night of celebration or something if I get good news today.

It's funny...my one friend and I talked about buying frames for our acceptance letters. Maybe we're getting ahead of ourselves, but it doesn't hurt to dream, right? 😳

Aw, shucks, nothing again today.

I've been lurking on here a couple days now and I'm glad I didn't find SDN until after I'd heard from all my other schools--think I'd have had a heart attack waiting day to day with everyone!

So let that be a lesson to all you newbies like me--avoid these school-specific forums until you've heard the news. It was so much easier being blissfully unaware. Think I check this thing every hour now 🙂

Okay. Seriously. I'm going to have a status page update before I get my letter. 🙁 If you all in IL (especially Champaign/Urbana!) aren't getting them in a couple of days...

Welcome to the forum, Rusty! It is very addicting and can drive you crazy with anticipation and such. But everyone is really nice at least with my experiences here.

Okay...off to meet with my adviser and sigh at my status page.

No I applied to a couple, I'm an alternate at LSU, and still waiting on Western. So it's not all over yet. Good luck with the mail :luck:
 
I live in Chicago and I got my letter today. I put a note on the door for the mail carrier to ring the bell when she comes, and the boyfriend ran down, and got it, and read it to me over the phone (becuase I am at work). I got in!
