ive been waiting for an acceptance for a while now. The new cycle is starting up in a few days. Should i just let go and start on this new cycle? I have not heard anything encouraging from the schools that I am waitlisted for.

if you are wait-listed, you could hear back from a school the day before classes start, so all is not lost. however, definitely plan for a contingency and re-apply.

Definitely get ready for the next cycle. You have to be ready for the worst case scenario. However, as flapatron said, you never know when you could be admitted, it could be as late as during the first week of orientation if someone doesn't show up.

If you don't mind, where are you waitlisted at? Hopefully you'll have some good news sooner than later!
