KSU 2024-2025 (c/o 2029 hopefuls)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm guessing it won't be until next week at this point, but I could be wrong since interview invites didn't come out until almost 7:30 EST when those were released in November

I think I saw posts on here from previous years anywhere from 2-4 central so maybe! I just need the sweet release from anxiety right now lol

Welp… I haven’t heard a thing. Just crickets. Since everyone who has posted their notification is either an admit or an alternate, I take no news as bad news…
Damn.

I saw someone post on Reddit about their IS rejection, so I believe they sent out rejections as well. I would reach out to them and ask if they’ve come to a decision regarding your application.

Does anyone know does KSU have a special requirement for scrubs or what to wear to class? TIA!
I looked on their website to see if they had a dress code and it says to "dress professionally" to class but it didn't say anything about scrub color for labs. I was wondering the same thing. I need to reach out and talk to someone who is a student there or something.

Current third year here! Theres no requirement for scrub types/colors. There’s also not a technical dress code for classes but we were told to dress as if you’re going to meet a future employer in the hallway. I wear jeans and a nice shirt/sweatshirt most of the time and when the week is heavy i just wear scrubs since they’re basically professional pjs. I wouldn’t recommend buying figs for anatomy bc you’ll want to throw those scrubs out after first year.

I had reason to call the admissions department about another matter and the admissions packet was brought up. They said that even though the email we received mentioned the admit packet would come in a few weeks that they were sending them out soon and should be received within a week.
I am so excited about being admitted!! I am going to go ahead and accept the offer despite still waiting to hear from other schools. The more I learn about the school the more I find things about it that just fit me so well. I cannot wait to start.

Does anyone know how many students they put on the OOS alternate waitlist? I got put on it and wanted to know my chances.

I by no means am an official source, but I looked at the KSU thread from two years ago, and it said the waitlist had about 200 people on it. People from the waitlist started to be offered admission closer to the deadline day for people originally offered admission to accept / decline their seat. No mention was said about how many people from the waitlist were offered admission.

Don’t know how relevant this is to this year’s class.

I’d link the post, but don’t know how to do that on the app.

Thank you, however your message did not come through the whole way. How many did you say were on the waitlist two years ago?

Does anyone know how many guest we are allowed to bring to the admitted student day on March 7th?

The packet has info about admitted students day, but it doesn’t specifically address guests. I’ll email them and ask. Will let you know what they say

Most students will dress business casual for the first week, and after that show up in jeans or other comfortable pants, tshirt, hoodie. The closer to finals week we get, the more leggings and sweatpants appear lol. Nobody calls you out for what you wear or really cares. Just don't wear crop tops, short shorts, or any revealing clothing (people have and...yikes). Scrubs to anatomy lab are a must.
