Well,thanks for your reply.
I'm from California. So, we dont deal with humidity too often. It's going to be a 6 hr flight to get there.
I already got into a school but I need several more schools to figure out which one is right for me. 🙂
Is Bradenton a nice area? I know that its close to the beach.
Does hurricane season something to worry about in Florida?
Yeah I saw that your status said LA so I figured you were from Cali... You will definitely notice the humidity because I notice it myself, but it's okay if you stay inside and blast the AC in your car! 🙂
Bradenton is nice but it isn't stereotypical Florida. Most people think of Miami or Ft Lauderdale when they think of Fl, but honestly I've lived in both of those places and I think the smaller towns are nicer for college kids because they're more affordable and college friendly. It's a newer area so it isn't as developed, but that's sort of a good thing.
The hurricanes don't come that often. We haven't really had a bad one since Wilma in 2005. I'm pretty sure LECOM is more inland towards the interstate so unless you live close to the water it's not that serious. My parents live like 100 yards from the ocean and we've only flooded once even still. If there is a serious threat the school with shut down and you can evacuate (or you might have to depending on where you live). I wouldn't let that deter you though. Hurricanes are usually fun actually.
