Once you are accepted you can get an intern license...you can intern the summer before pharm school..depending on the state. Just check into the location you are planning on interning and they will have more information.

Has anyone received an email about your alternate status rank? I wonder when the last interview is/was...
 
the last interview is this week. One of my friend is interviewing there on on tommorrow.
 
Actually, the last interview is probably next week. I am interviewing on the 20th, haha. Suuuch a late interview, but I'll take my chances! 😉
 
Hey anyone who is going to be at the meet and greet on May 22nd...i will be in Bradenton the night before (May 21st around 9 pm onwards) if you want to meet and do something like grab dinner. Email me at [email protected] 8)
 
The intern license needs the Dean's Signature so I sent it to Jackie today with a pre-addressed/pre-stamped envelope so that the Dean can sign his part and Jackie will mail it out for me.

I figured the earlier the better. I wish I had thought about getting my intern license way earlier

Hey roxyquilk, congrats on the interview invite!! Did Jackie mention any other interview dates for you to choose from? Specifically, any dates later than the 27th??

Hey Kash521! It was sharon who called me this morning. I called back because its a 3 hours time difference from where I live, but it went straight to her answering machine. She gave me 3 dates to choose from. She didn't mention any later dates after may 27th. Have u interviewed already??
 
27th? yikes... I guess alternates still have some time before getting any kind of idea where we stand :/
 
Hey guys a bunch of us are getting together before the meet and greet on the 22nd of May.

Jackie sent an email saying last interviews the 27th. The alternates will be reviewed the 4th and we can get info from her on the 7th. Ugh so far away. I hate how late these interviews are.. I interviewed in January and just want to know.
 
Hey everybody, I went to the meeting last Saturday. I just want to know if anybody went to look at the apartments and still looking for roommate? I didn't have time to look at them after the meeting. If you went to that meeting, we've probably met.

Hola, I was there as well. I didn't get to search for apartments either. Will have to do so sometime between now and August

I've been trying to add other classmates on facebook, but no luck. I just want to find 1 or 2 male roommates. I wished I had stayed. Let's keep each other up to date, though.
 
Wait-listed waiting patiently for the outcome lecom-B is the only school I applied to this year and is my #1 choice. Good luck to other that are on the waiting list!!
 
The adcoms are meeting tomorrow (4th) to discuss the alternate list!! I don't know if I can take this any longer :scared:

Seriously! I've been waiting since January to find out. I can't wait til monday to hear from Jackie. Poor thing is going to have so many calls and emails. Lol.

Well, she wants us to wait so I figured I'd email her Sunday and hopefully she'll tell me in a timely manner. But let me know when you call! If she gives you an answer I'll call!:laugh:

Couldn't you just email jackie and have her take you off now? I guess it doesn't matter much but the less people on the list the higher we all are..kinda lol. 😀
 
I just emailed Jackie asking about my rank, the # of people on the list, and any other information that she feels is pertinent. She's pretty good about replying to emails, so hopefully I will have something to post here tomorrow for the people who are in the same boat!

I e-mailed her yesterday too! She probably won't e-mail back til tomorrow though. I'm going to be checking my e-mail constantly, ahh. G/L! :zip:

Thanks 🙂 To be honest I don't know! If I had to choose right now I'd say it's my #1 but I've got a lot to decide next month! I liked both schools at the interviews, but I think location is going to have a lot to do with it, unless I hear things otherwise that can strongly sway me one way or the other. They are both osteopathic schools and therefore seemed pretty similar to me. But, I gotta get in to Lecom first before I can decide lol. Are you going to lecom-B?

Hopefully!!...I'm on the alternate list. LECOM-B is the only school I applied too..and I really liked the school at the interview, and I could see my self apart of it. Hopefully you get to go to the school that you really want. Good luck!
 
I gave Jackie a call and was told that I'm in the top 30% of the alternate list and that it is highly likely that I would be called. I received an offer this morning from South University Columbia campus and have till 2pm today to let them know. LECOM is my first choice, but I don't know if this is an opportunity I should past up and wait around for LECOM. :/

Well congrats on the top30%! I'm almost directly in the middle she said lol. Wonderful. But that sucks about makig a choice. South starts soon right? Good luck with your choice! If I don't hear anything by the 2nd week of July I'm going to my other school as well. Maybe even before that. I have so much to do and plan, I hate waiting. Especially cause she's like "in my opinion you'll get an offer based on previous years".. Oh well.. Hopefully I hear something in th next month or I'm moving to Georgia!!
 
I don't know how great 30% is, but lets hope that it follows previous history. I did decline my spot for South. Hopefully I'll hear back soon. Good luck to you also Brunetteb89!!

I think 30% will get you in 🙂 I'm pretty confident I'll get in, just don't know if it'll be by the 2nd week of july like I need it to be! Good luck, and make sure to post when you get in so I can get an idea of how quickly the list is going! :xf:
 
I called Jackie to see decline my alternate seat. Out of curiosity, I asked where I was on the list and she said that I was in the top 30 percent. She says that she highly thinks that I'll would be getting an acceptance letter in the next few weeks!

Hopefully! I tried asking how long the list is but she couldn't tell me. any ideas anyone?
 
Woohoo I just moved up a spot then! Lol.

I'm sure there's around a 100 like the past 2 years. I don't get why they can't tell us? &i wonder how last year they knew how many were on it... Oh well.
 
I've been placed in the bottom 30%..🙁 but its all good..someone has to be at the bottom..lol..looks like ill still be at my UT next school year. Good luck to everyone

abohiorx, i remember they told us that from previous years almost or nearly everyone on the alternate list got in, stay hopeful!:xf:
 
hello everyone, Jackie informed me that I was on the top 30%. I really hope the list moves quickly because I would have to make living arrangements etc. Good luck everyone.
 
I found out today that some docs in my matriculation package got lost somehow after already arriving at the school. Not cool, my doctor charges to fill out physical forms and verify immunizations!

I sent my matriculation docs on the 7th (monday) and I recieved an email from jackie stating that they haven't gotten my package either. But I sent it through certified mail and have confirmation that it was signed off on also. but you should ALWAYS make copies of docs before sending them out. Everyone else who are on the alt list just be patient I'm sure you'll get accepted, they're just waiting on a response from those who were offered... I know alot of people were declining their seats

Always good to hear positive things 🙂 Tell them to hurry up and decline! Haha. It sucks how much all of us alternates will have to scramble to get paperwork in, financial aid, places to live, etc... !

I suggest you start scrambling for immunization docs right now because WHEN you get accepted, they will email you a very lengthy packet and immunization by far is the most time consuming one to complete! But don't lose hope. Like everyone else said, they have accepted everyone on the alt list from previous years, so being on the top 30 means you will recieve yours before 70% of the other alts.

Well, I already got accepted at another school and did their immunization packet so hopefully it won't be too bad! My doctor said she'd fill it out for me quickly since they have all of my records, and I should now have everything I assume! I'm more worried about fin aid and apartments. Oh well, it will all work out! :laugh:

are there immunizations we would have to get other than what we already had for grade school and college? Im also worried about fin aid and apartments to...my sister told me to look around just in case.

For PCom they wanted some things to be within the last 2 years. So I had to get the dtap (dip, tetanus, pert) and another hep b, and a tb skin test. But, they were all things you probably already got. Just depends if Lecom makes them required in a certain amount of time. Just as long as you have all of your records at one physicians office you should be fine. I had to call my pediatrician and fsu to fax over my records.
As for apartments I'm going to start looking too. I'm going home at the end of the month and might stop in Bradenton to look at some apartments. Pretty sure I want a roommate too, but don want to look for anyone since I don't know yet. Hopefully someone from lecom will still be looking for one. I think it'd be easier to live with someone in the same pharmacy school.
 
Hey Brunetteb89,
I am in the same boat as you. I was told that I was in the middle 30% of the waitlist. I have no idea what to do about housing and financial aid either. I am hoping they let us know soon so it makes things a little easier! I live in GA so its harder for me to even look at apts! 🙁. Hopefully we get accepted soon! keep updating this whenever you hear back! 🙂
