I'll agree, I only went to two interviews. My first one was at DCOM and I loved it. The second was at NSU and I wanted to go home when the plane landed. Maimi did not make a good impression on me..........the interview wasn't too bad, I did feel somewhat like a shrimp on the grill. There was only one interviewer, out of the 5 interviewing, that I felt I made a decent impression on. I thought the other interviewers disliked me. Secondly, the students just didn't seem happy. Our guide looked VERY tired. All-in-all, it just was not the school for me. NSU did offer me an acceptance, but I declined. After that so-so experience I canceled all of my other interviews and sent my deposit to DCOM. I'm telling you, sometimes you have those gut feelings and you have to follow them.
While finding housing may be easier eslewhere I wouldn't want to go there. DCOM just seems to be special and well worth the effort to find housing. Future classes should have it easier. I have been able to run into a few poeple who have shared plans for condos and another apartment complex (besides the one that is already being built and has a line that is 3x longer than they have space for 🙁 ). Although it isn't too bad right now, I have been to a number of homes for rent that just don't work for me because I have a family.
This leads me to my question, for those making the trip from LaFollette to DCOM, how is it? I am thinking of doing this, but I'm unsure of it. I drove it today and it is around a thirty minute drive. How do this effect your study time?
