Is it required that the LORs and evaluation forms to be received by PASS before they send out the application to the programs?
Can I send the LOR/forms directly to the specialization programs instead?
I'm wondering, why for some programs, the PASS deadline is different from program deadline. Can anybody explain to me?
Thanks a lot.

I don't know if PASS will send out your app. if you don't have your LORs in yet. My guess is that they will, but I'm not sure that schools that want you to submit through PASS will like the fact that your LORs aren't included in there. I wouldn't send them in separately given the option. However, you CAN submit them through PASS AND hard copies to the schools as well. (Many schools actually require this.)

Programs give PASS a deadline so they can get information. They set their own deadline so applicants go apply directly. PASS sends materials after they get them. It just to be every 2 weeks. I believe it is every week now.

We receive applications from PASS and directly from students. So our committee can met and select those we interview, the PASS date is earlier than our date. We are always looking for candiadates. Since people may drop out do to illness, we always accept applications, BUT the eariler the better.

Many students send additional information and recommendations directly to programs.

It is always best to call, visit the programs - speak to the residents.
