Low DAT scores...retake and apply for this cycle?

Hi everyone,

I just took my DAT this morning after studying for three months and my scores were awful...I'm so discouraged. I'm aware of the 90-day wait period, but I'm wondering if it's even worth it to try and retake it in September (90 days from now) and attempt to apply for this upcoming application cycle? I've heard that September/October is very late in terms of applying. Any advice would be awesome. Here are my scores:

PAT: 21
QR: 15
RC: 21
BIO: 14
GC: 19
ORGO: 19
TS: 17
AA: 18

My overall GPA is 3.6, and I'm currently in a pre-dental/dental hygiene program, so I've gained a lot of hands on clinical experience through my school. I had to study alongside of having a full time course load as my program requires summer classes; I never really have a break to study full time...In terms of study material, I utilized DAT Bootcamp, DAT Destroyer and Math Destroyer.

Your scores aren't to bad besides Bio and QR, but a retake will probably be necessary. I would recommended reaching out to a pre-dental adviser if your university has one, and seeing what they say about applying late. Since September/October is so late, it might be wise to save money and apply next cycle. Best of luck!

Someone else posted today they studied for 4 months and did poorly too. Here's the link Confused with DAT score.. where did I go wrong? . Maybe it was the test itself? I don't get how someone can study for months and that happens.

Hey OP, I think if you think you can get a kick-ass score on your next DAT in september (21-22+?), you might be able to snag some post-dec interviews at least! I don't know your application list but some schools dont fill their class entirely by december. I applied with a 3.7 oGPA in December and still got interviews.
