I don't see Finn's rez as substantially likely to be wolfy. A) Early game rezzes are usually villager, because a smart rezzer wants to use the ability rather than die with it and lose the chance to bolster villager numbers. B) Wolves tend to wait for a more 'strategic' rezz and often prefer to do it after villager seering has been taken out to maximize the "is the rezzed player a villager or not" confusion.

Just my take on it. But I'm not hugely worried. The posting restriction being lifted catches my attention, but on the whole .... I'm not too concerned anymore about Finn.

For now, I want to go back to:

lynch jilary ... because I didn't really like her (non) response yesterday.

Not following. What reasoning? For what? I could easily get on a Genny lynch, but I'd like to know what you're talking about before I bail on Jilary.

Well, you're not alone - I got pretty much bashed by abilities last night. Still maintain that I'm always about 500% more sketchy when I'm a villager and dgaf than when I'm a wolf. Take it as you will.

Agreed that it's not a bad idea, but I could also easily see myself (as a mod) lifting what was sort of a PITA post restriction on rez.
 
It's like you guys are trying to turn the Valley of Death into an actual valley of death. Did it ever occur to you that AM hasn't died because she's been protected? Clearly, the wolves figured out who Ceke was. I think it would be a really bad idea to give them AM too.

I also don't understand the lynches getting thrown my way today either. So far, I've argued against lynching two villagers and said Trilt seems suspicious to me. I still think Trilt is suspicious. Her role name is sketchy as hell, but then, one could argue that PBC's was too.
 
Me shams, yez be lookin' in directions that I don't feel is as sound. I believe a new yoke aught to be proposed, to bring more yapping into the mix.

Actually, given that there were wolf kills both nights, it appears AM didn't die because she wasn't attacked. She may have also been protected, but it wasn't needed because the wolves didn't go after her anyways. I don't find her lack of death a reason to lynch her per se (hence why I haven't done so), but I do think she's worth questioning.

I am mildly suspicious of trilt currently but I think it more likely she is not a wolf. Would rather not lynch her.

I just think it's a really sketch idea to lynch AM without any info directing us there after what she claimed, especially considering the indications on thread that it's likely true.

@LetItSnow I was referring to the thin reasoning of trilt. I'd still be happy to vote there. I was just putting some pressure on genny for now

Care to elaborate on why you feel Trilt's role is sketchy? She's a top suspicion for me right now for a few reasons, and someone knowing her role and still thinking she is sketchy isn't helping her case at all.
 
I'm at work, can only skim through. considering changing my vote at this point, will most likely do so when I get home. Just wanted to say that Genny has been really awesome with helping me learn the game and talking with me about what I'm thinking. I haven't found any inconsistencies or anything over pm that give me Wolfy feels.

Am I missing something? They figured out that Ceke was a dragon, clearly? What does that even mean?

like, was the dragon role important for some reason and everyone knows what it was except me?
 
I'm torn between Genny and Trilt right now. Both of them were present in the "Finn why u do that?!" part of The End convo, which was a hunch I believed carried over to the N1 death. I could also be waaayyyyy off base. Probably off base. But it is bugging me.

I find it curious that both Finn and Ceke were originally killed with posts that could be described as annoying by some. (Switzerland). That causes me to wonder whether night kills are being done by emotion versus calculation.
 
I think the lynches of both me and genny are people falling prey to finding those who are talkative sketchy. I exclude Dy from that because she mentioned me early and already justified herself. I think the reason is absolute BS because in D1 lynches, almost any reason is better than no reason, but fine. At least it's not "feels."

In any case, lynching talkative people is lame and encourages a quiet game where everyone holds their cards as close to their chest as possible and nobody pushes on people or problem solves for fear of seeming "aggressive" and getting themselves lynched. It leads to only quiet people (who sometimes are paying attention while being quiet, but often aren't) running endgame and, well, look at the last 10 games to see how that goes for village.

I literally got hit by three abilities last night because I was aggressive and my hunch was wrong on PBC. Guess what? I'm going to be wrong. If I'm not wrong all the time in this game, I'm not going to have a chance to be right.

I know her claimed role name and description, and while her role *name* is sketchy, the description fits it, and sounded villagery to me (but maybe I'm missing something, because inexperienced?). Hobgoblin, troll, dragon - none of those roles are exactly fluffy bunnies on the sketchy scale. I actually googled my own role name to see if it was sketchy or not, and sure enough - mythical version of the drunken rapist.

Seriously? Apparently at least one was role seering, and I'd rather someone be able to give up their role name without concurrently outing their ability.

I'm the only other person voting for Genny and it has *nothing* to do with how talkative or not talkative she has been. I honestly couldn't even tell you which people have been more or less talkative because I haven't had time to give a thorough read of the thread.

My lynch of greeny has to do with her posts, in reading through I realized she had phrased quite a few things as questions. I then searched only her posts and there are some statements but there are still some oddly phrased questions in some posts that just seemed off to me.

I may just be reading into something too much but that's why I voted genvy.

And I think you are way out in left field with this people are lynching you two because you guys are talking, I didn't catch that from anyone who has made a lynch vote on either of you.

Arguing for wolves (obviously we haven't gotten any yet, I know that) means much more than arguing against villagers. It is easy to argue against villager lynching when you know exactly who the villagers are.

I felt like Trilt was townie from the get-go, but a lot of people seem to disagree with me, so perhaps I need to defer or get on board with it. Not sure.

Take a second and consider the dozen+ other people playing who haven't posted enough to notice a trend like that. I'm not saying it's just because we're posting - of course the lynches aren't because there's a pure number of posts that makes someone seem sketchy - but because when people post quite a bit they say things that people question and get to the forefront. It's a trend, not an absolute, and it's why I'm much more hesitant and quiet as a wolf (or as a villager with a really important ability).

That's NOT lynching her because she is talking too much. You are free to disagree but my reason for lynching her has nothing to do with how much or how little she has posted.

Yeah. Anytime someone says "If I were a wolf I would do X" (or some variant), I view that as sketchy. (Even though I've done it myself.)

I am 100% giving away my wolf tells, because I've learned from modding that it truly doesn't matter. People still find those who put themselves to the front sketchy, while the majority of the field (including the wolves, usually) agree with others, stay mostly quiet, and don't get attention. :shrug:

Um, I just played a game in which I found the converted wolf who was posting maybe 1-2x per day because I picked up on a slight change in the content of his post. It has nothing to do with posting frequency and everything with content.

We've caught wolves before with a single statement back when mayors used to be a thing.

I have no idea whether genny is a wolf or not. She has said a couple things that make me go "hrrmph" a bit, but the combination of her defense of PBC, some behind the scenes chatter, and me not feeling like she's acting the same as the last game (where she was a wolf) has put her lower on my suspicions. I like the AM and Jilary lynches better.

Should probably be looking at everyone who knew that then, cause unless the wolves got lucky and had their own seerer and seered her night one, or just randomly happened to kill the seerer D2, it seems like the wolves may have known from a pm with her.

Aside from you, who knew?
