Have any of you December/January interviewees heard from Meharry yet?

I remember reading a past posting that said their turn around time is usually two weeks.

How long was it after sending in your secondary app. did it take to hear something from the admissions comm. about your interview? I am still waiting to hear something.....rejection or interview. I cant speak to anyone when I call. I was told to email. Deborah Davis...she sent me a memo telling me about the process instead of my status. Was it quick for you?

I ended up cancelling the interview. Best of luck, I've heard really good things about the medical school!

That's great. CONGRATS! I just had my interview on Thursday. They told me three weeks. So hopefully that's how long it will take, and not over a month.

can i ask you guys what your stats were....GPA? MCAT?...etc....thanks

For some reason, I don't think MCATs and GPA matter as much to Meharry as they might to other schools. If you have a decent GPA, decent MCATs, and expressed desire to work with the underserved, or even just look like there might be more to you in person than just numbers, I think they'll give you a chance. (I know that's vague, but I think that Meharry is one school that once your AMCAS has shown them that u can handle the basics in terms of GPA/MCAT and that you are an interesting person, numbers cease to matter)

I just got rejected last night and I was complete around October or November.

yeah, I was accepted two weeks after the interview. pretty quick. I absolutely loved the school!(surprise, surprise) but now that I have four other acceptances , I am doubting what my heart is telling me. Do they have a second look visit/event/weekend?

Not to my knowledge (esp. with school starting in the summer), but I'm sure you could always call the school and arrange for one!

I got a certified mail notice in my mailbox, but they say I cant come pick up the letter until Monday. I see that someone has been accepted by certified mail... Do they also do waitlist/rejections via this route? Its driving me crazy... 😱

ACK! That's the same thing that happened to me. I went to the post office to see if it happened to be there the same day anyways. I lucked out and the carrier came in like right then and gave me the letter.

I'll cross my fingers for you!!
