I know they were hoping to give CSPM a mascot, i'll be sure to send this in as a submission.
This won the thread lol
Bro... I was going to make a meme after my exam. How am I going to beat that...
Haha the scene where they are talking about how minimum security prison is no picnic was flashing through my mind when reading that article followed by the famous federal prison line.
I have no idea what this means?
First get a podiatry degree/cert in a foreign country. Then, work in American Samoa because they're short DPMs and will honor foreign degrees. Then relocate to Utah because they have license reciprocity with American Samoa. From there, the world is yours for the taking.I have no idea what this means?
That seems needlessly complicated.First get a podiatry degree/cert in a foreign country. Then, work in American Samoa because they're short DPMs and will honor foreign degrees. I can't take credit for the idea. It does seem easier than getting board certified...zing!That seems needlessly complicated.
I don't feel your comments about this are being fully appreciated but I see you.I can't take credit for the idea. It does seem easier than getting board certified...zing!
It is the craziest back door ever. So an Australian trained podiatrist can back door into the US by going to American Samoa then getting a license in Utah? 🤯I can't take credit for the idea. It does seem easier than getting board certified...zing!
I remember applying for a hospital based job in Guam coming out of residencyOK I just checked the Federation of Podiatric Medical Boards on this. While DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands all have listings for their podiatry boards, there is none for American Samoa, Guam, or the Northern Mariana Islands, so I am officially skeptical of @Europe-mentee.pod 's claim. The Northern Marianas are basically a military outpost so any pods are probably in the Navy.
Hilariously, podiatry in Guam is regulated by the Board of Allied Health Examiners who governs specialties "like clinical psychology, audiology, speech language pathology, chiropractics, IMFT, etc." I assume we're the etc. To obtain a license, you need to submit an e-mail request.
More hilariously, Guam, population 170k, area 210sq mi, has 3 podiatry private practices (that I could find). But we're not saturated at all!
Podiatry so saturated that you look for a job in an island in the middle of no whereI remember applying for a hospital based job in Guam coming out of residency
I think one of the previous (and actually pretty awesome) surgery teaching docs at KSUCPM practices there, Dr. Prins.Podiatry so saturated that you look for a job in an island in the middle of no where
