Just be yourself! Honestly it is so conversational and they make you really comfortable. Make sure you look back at the questions that were asked on page 5 of this forum (I think it's post #205). Keep in mind that it isn't guaranteed that you will get those questions, but those are good to prepare for.

Hi everyone! Congrats to all those who got accepted. My Accepted Student Checklist just popped up on my portal too, I'm so excited (but honestly I'll be more at ease after I get the official acceptance email/phone call 😛P)

On my checklist, Required Documents lists transcripts are expected from the schools I attended. Does that mean I have to request official transcripts again to be sent to Mid-Western directly even though everything was sent during the VMCAS application already? Anyone else has this on their checklist? Just curious.

For those of you who have seen changes in their portals regarding accepted student checklist, how long did it take for you to receive an acceptance email? My accepted student checklist just popped up, but I'm still slightly paranoid that it means nothing...haha I dont want to get too excited, so I want to wait until I get an email

The email came the next business day, so you should probably get it tomorrow!

Hello! So I have the same thing on mine. I called them yesterday to ask about it and they said they can pull it from VMCAS. It just takes a little bit of time. They will notify you if otherwise needed.

I was on the waitlist to interview as well. They sent me an invite for an interview today (not in email, I always click on "schedule and interview" to check it), so check your portals! It wasn't there yesterday when I checked it so it must have been done today!

Nothing in the portal other than the accepted student checklist and matriculation agreement. Email and phone call came ~5 business days after I noticed a change in my portal.

It sounds like they will get them through VMCAS by default. Keep your eye on your portal and if your transcipt section in your checklist doesn't change anytime soon, you can give them a call to be sure.

My understanding is that it will not change unless you matriculate. At that point, they will pull them from VMCAS.

I know some people have answered this already, but I also wanted to point out that if you are still taking pre-reqs or any other classes/ graduating this fall or spring, then they want those new transcripts too!

I clicked on schedule an interview and it said "You have been invited to interview with the following program(s)" and that a confirmation would be sent to my email but I didn't get any email. The only confirmation email I received was AFTER I scheduled my interview.

I know IS & OOS doesn't make a difference because it is a private school, but on the 2021 interview thread, everyone who posted they received an interview were OOS. I noticed I was the first to post an IS interview. I'm not sure what their criteria is to remove an applicant from the waitlist to interview.

I could see why you would go with that analogy. I think that even though it is IS for AZ residents, the cost of tuition might be too high for some applicants. An IS resident may decide to go to another school OOS that they were accepted to for the sheer fact that the overall cost of tuition is lower.

Edit: I'm sorry. I didn't realize the accepted student checklist had not come up on your portal. I never saw the "Required Prerequisites" listed until both that and the accepted list came up. I also received a call from them either that same day (a Tuesday) or in the morning the next day (Wednesday). I don't remember now (but I think it was Wednesday morning). From what it looks like, that isn't consistent. I hope it all works out 🙂.

SO I called to find out about the status of my application (Interviewed on November 8th) and I was selected as an "alternate". So anyone who may still be in limbo about the status of their application should give the admissions department a call! It's better knowing than not! Congratulations to everyone who was accepted!

So I just accepted my seat in the class! 🙂 Has anyone else accepted a seat?! I know its still pretty early in the cycle, but midwestern was my number 2 choice school and I just got waitlisted to my number 1 choice school, so here I am! I'm pretty excited!!

I intended to apply to others but got my interview invite before submitting apps elsewhere. MWU was the only place I wanted to go to, so I didn't spend money applying to other programs that didn't really appeal to me. So excited for next year!

I just got into my IS, so I am going to give up my seat at MWU. The school is beautiful and the program seems amazing, but the tuition is twice my IS and AZ is a bit far from home for me. I hope my seat goes to someone that is really wanting MWU!

I'm just curious because once a school gives out an acceptance, they cannot retract it until after the April 17th deadline. So all students have until that date to decide. I know two people who got off the waitlist very late last year, and are so happy they waited. I'm just wondering if there was any benefit to it.

I just felt like if midwestern actually wanted me! I kind of got a weird feeling from western when they sent out a video a week before applicants were accepted/denied and basically told us that the interviewed applicants were referred to by number and the only information they could see was gender, race, and "background" and of course whatever was in your application. To me, it felt like they could care less about what I've done to get myself to where I am today and more about how "diverse" I am!

I'm a firm believer in what is meant to be is meant to be, so midwestern accepting me right off the bat felt like the best option for me after getting waitlisted at the other school where I kinda had a weird feeling about after that video!

I don't think it does! They do rolling acceptances which means they continue to accept people throughout the entire cycle, so I think your good!!
