Wow congratulations!!! Doesn't get better than that!!
That is absolutely amazing! Congratulations! 😀Offered UC Berkeley's two-year Deans Diversity Full Fellowship. Tuition, 10K stipend and 17'-18' GSR/GSI appointment, fee remission. I am sold!😍
Did Berkeley also offer some travel reimbursement for their visit day? I got notice of that yesterday, and I'm wondering if that has any relationship to more $$$ coming my way. Fingers crossed! 😉Thank you!!! I agree! I am still visiting UCLA and University of Michigan just because I have already planned for it and still want to see if they offer anything but I am 99% sure I'll be attending. This was for public health nutrition btw
That's awesome! How did they notify you of your package? I just received info for my Calnet account but most of the modules and pages are still still inactive for me.Offered UC Berkeley's two-year Deans Diversity Full Fellowship. Is anyone planning on attending Emory's admitted students day? (March 31st-April 1st)
Just got accepted to Yale on 02/18! I submitted my application in mid-December. Still haven't heard from Columbia though yet....which makes me nervous. My phone interview was one week ago (02/13) and it went pretty well I thought. I know that it might take longer than a week to get back to me but I'm going a bit crazy since they're my first choice.

Yup! Filed mine early this month.Had you already filed the FAFSA before you heard about travel reimbursement? I was told that there "might" be travel reimbursement available when I had a more general conversation with the MCH program, but it didn't sound definite and I haven't heard anything since.
That is absolutely amazing! Congratulations! 😀

I'm an International applicant as well! Where are you from? I'm from Venezuela.
I'm thinking on calling to Columbia on Monday...but I'm hesitating, I don't want to be annoying (Although the last time I called was on December, to confirm that my application were completed).
Unfortunately, NYU rejected me yesterday :s...told that they don't have enough space for all applicants, but they just extended the application deadline until March...so I'm guessing they didn't like my profile :s...but I wish you good luck with both Columbia and NYU!!!
Yea I saw the extended deadline as well. Not really sure what to make of that extension? But I think you would be fine to resubmit for a different concentration. I don't see a problem with that. The deadline is March 16th, so you have time and all your supporting documents are all in. I never thought of submitting with a different concentration. Good luck!Nyu has extended its application date. Do you think this means they want more candidates. Low interest in NYU? I'm thinking of resubmitting with a different concentration. How do,you think that would be regarded at this time.
Also, there was someone who posted they received a rejection letter last week, so decisions are being given. I asked the person who posted when they applied and when their application was verified he/she said around 2/2-4. So the waiting game continues ...Nyu has extended its application date. To those who have been accepted into UCLA Community Health Sciences -- have you received an official admission letter from the UCLA Admissions Office and/or word on scholarships/fellowships/grants? I haven't gotten much information aside from the Admitted Student Day.
For starters, the campus is absolutely beautiful and the new Rollins building is less than five years old. I know facilities don't make or break the decision but I think it is very important to be in an aesthetically pleasing environment. Furthermore, I was admitted to Global Health and I really like the curriculum. There are so many course offerings and it really allows students to tailor their education to their career interest. The cost per semester is also flat rate so you can take as many courses as you want. They require you to earn 42 credits to graduate but the academic advisors said most students graduate with around 55.That's awesome! I am really looking forwarding to visiting next month. What did you love about it?
Yes, I will be there! Even though I've already decided to attend Emory, I think it will be a great opportunity to meet future classmates and hopefully figure out a living situation. The current students I spoke with on my visit said that a lot of students find their roommates during the Visit Emory event! I also think the research and job fair will be really great.are you going to admitted students day? (March 31- April 1)
You're really selling me on this program, I got accepted to Global Health too. However most people are telling me to accept Columbia or Yale's offer because of the name. MOST IMPORTANTLY: The faculty at Rollins is amazing! Most of them work in conjunction at the CDC or have in the past. After talking to current students, it is apparent that faculty are very accessible are adamant on getting students involved in research and placed in great practicum settings. There is also the "REAL" program which is a work-study program that places students in research positions with companies and organizations around the Atlanta area (CDC, American Cancer Society, CARE, Emory Hospital, Carter Foundation, etc.). Side note, when people say the CDC is close to campus, it is literally within a throwing distance from Rollins. In my opinion, the opportunities that Rollins offers their students is unrivaled.
Ultimately, I just really felt at home while visiting and think it is without a doubt the best place for me. I would be happy to try and answer any questions anyone has!
Accepted to Michigan with a 50% Deans Scholarship!A little sad I didn't get the 100% like some of my friends but oh well.
I applied right before the priority deadline and was verified on December 21st.
@pakhtanahamed @PHhopeful They sent my rejection letter last week. I applied for the HPM concentration, verified on 04/02 and the letter sent on 18/02. I think they didn't like my profile, since the decision came out fast (2 weeks) and some other applicants are still waiting for results :s:sAlso, there was someone who posted they received a rejection letter last week, so decisions are being given. Congratulations!!!!Just got an acceptance letter from NYU for HPM with $20,000 scholarship!!
Hi @Saji Yes, we definitely should wait, at least until the end of the week. I also applied for GWU (Accepted), Boston U (Accepted), NYU (Rejected), Harvard (Waiting), CUNY (Waiting), Yale (Waiting), Rutgers (Waiting), and Weill Cornell Medicine for a MS in Health Policy and Economics (Waiting).Hi, I am from India. May be we can wait a little bit more as many of the students did not get the results yet from Columbia. To which schools you are applying apart from these two? I emailed NYU this morning and they said your application is incomplete. I again went through a series of emails but then finally got a mail that your application is complete and we will be in touch with you as soon as the result come out. I wondered why I took so long to email and ask the status of my application. Something is wrong with their system I suppose 🙁
One rejection cannot be the luck decider. So have high hopes and good luck with Columbia and other applications 😀 I am still waiting to hear from every school I applied :/ thanks for the wishes though🙂
