Just got rejected by Columbia too. That was my dream school 🙁 well I guess there is something else better out there waiting for me
So for next year when they start releasing decisions, hearing back from Columbia earlier in the email batches may be better news. Who knows with these schools though 😉
Just got rejected by Columbia! Disappointed that I will no longer be living in NYC, but overall ok because I think I'll grow more by leaving 🙂
Accepted to Michigan HBHE!!!!!!!! No idea about scholarships![]()
They emailed me!Congrats!!!!!!! Did you receive an email, or just checked Wolverine?
It will be 24 students total I believe! Yes I currently live in Texas so it would be a big change for me.That's awesome!! Congratulations! I applied to UW's MPH/RD program but they aren't getting decisions out until end of the month... Dying from the wait! I didn't apply to UNC's program only because it was on the opposite side of the country, but from my research it sounds like one of the better RD programs. Do you know how big your cohort will be?
Recommended for admissions to UC-Berkeley??? I'm shocked!! Hope more good news is headed everyone's way![]()
Accepted to Columbia - no scholarship info as of yet.
In at UC Berkeley and University of Washington! Got the Cal email while I was reading the UW email. Very overwhelming moment. 😱
Of course! M.S. in Epidemiology.May I ask what department at UW you applied to?
Accepted to Brown on Tuesday!! I can't freaking believe it![]()
Does anyone know when Emory gets back to us about financial aid/scholarships? I know they're supposed to be pretty good with packages, but I didn't even receive an email that my stuff was forwarded to my department, let alone that I was accepted (which it has now been a while since I found that out via OPUS). So, it's safe to say I'm a little concerned about future communication regarding aid packages.
Applied: Johns Hopkins (12/1), Cornell University (12/7), George Washington University (12/15), Emory University (1/5), Columbia University (1/15), Yale University (1/15), New York University (2/1)
Accepted: Cornell (1/14), GWU (1/24), Columbia (2/8), Emory (2/9)
Rejected: N/A
Waitlisted: N/A
Still Waiting: JHU, Yale, NYU
I actually just heard back from Emory and I didn't get into their GLEPI MPH program, but they offered me a spot for their EPI MPH program instead!
Thank you! Epi!Congratulations! May I ask for which track?
In this booklet I got during grad fair, it says March 30-31: visit Emory (For Admitted Students)When is Emory's Admitted Students Day?? I can't find anything on OPUS....
I'm in the same boat as you regarding the lack of emails! I emailed admissions regarding information about visit day, and I was directed to a link for the admitted student portal (I was told that we will receive emails about this portal shortly). According to that, financial aid packages should come out in March.
Like seriously? Can you please give me your timeline?Accepted to Brown on Tuesday!! I can't freaking believe it![]()
I submitted by application 9/12, coursework was verified 9/28, I got an email from Brown saying my application was complete 11/30, and got my acceptance email 2/7. Good luck!!Like seriously? Can you please give me your timeline?
It can come later. Some of us contacted HBHE department. I was told they had not issued scholarships yet for Fall 2017 and that "the Admissions Chair is shooting for next week sometime." They are a little behind in reviewing applications this year, so they're trying to see a number of admits before making any decisions. They emailed me!
Anybody who was accepted last year or this year who got a scholarship, did it come in your admission letter or did it come later?

Is there a way to confirm that your FAFSA went to your schools through FAFSA or do you have to contact your school? Just concerned because Columbia's financial aid site says "Students that have provided all required information at the time of admission will receive a financial aid award letter with their offer of admission, or shortly thereafter." seems like people heard back about scholarships but not aid? I'll probably just call tomorrow and ask about this.
Also just got into the Epi - Global track at UW! Acceptances 2 days in a row!
Congrats!! So awesome! Email or portal?I got into Emory's BHSE program! 😍😍😍😍
in the same boat.. but mine says they'll get back to me by May 15th or sooner (!). Which department did you apply to, btw? I applied to HPM.Does anyone know (or have heard from previous years) the chances of getting of Columbia's waitlist? They said I would hear back on March 15th or sooner, but since Columbia is my top choice, I was wondering if it's realistic or not.
Thank you and congratulations to everyone on their acceptances!

Hey, I got the same. What does recommended mean? It seems like we are in if the Graduate Division approves that we meet the minimum qualifications. Please correct me if I am wrong. Good luck to us!Recommended for admissions to UC-Berkeley??? I'm shocked!! Hope more good news is headed everyone's way![]()
