Congrats future classmates!
*sigh* I guess the next question is: Does Sinai post-interview reject? If so, what percentage? ie. should I be bracing myself when I check my mailbox?
I think they said on my interview day that they waitlist most and reject only a small number of people post-interview.
Thanks. It's making my decision even harder though! The data on MDApps show this as well.
This thread is a perfect example of why I should not allow myself to frequent SDN, since the next few days will be agony waiting to see if I am snail mailed a waitlist/rejection. Oh well...desire for instant gratification is definitely one of my flaws.
Futurelegend - congratulations!
Do they send all the e-mails in one day? Do they spread them out over a week or something??
<----- interviewed 2/8...waiting for an e-mail 🙁
They sent all of their acceptances out yesterday - called to confirm. Sorry, in case anyone else was holding out hope. Hey FutureLegend, stop taking my spots! 😛
Which do you want more, NYU or Sinai? I'm bound to give up one of them. You know that you wanted me to have first dibs. They sent all of their acceptances out yesterday - called to confirm. Sorry, in case anyone else was holding out hope. Hey FutureLegend, stop taking my spots! 😛
2/12 interview, waitlist letter received today dated 2/27.
I interviewed in January and still haven't received anything.
Got the letter from Sinai, saying I am put on the alternate list and I have to reply with response via mail to say if I want to stay on their alternate list.
Question: Did everyone get a letter saying that you are "highly" regarded applicant and we are placing all "highly" regarded applicants on the alternate list? Just want to see if this is standard waitlist letter, or if there are two different waitlist letters being sent out by Sinai.

Got mine today.
It says my name is on the "Alternate List, consisting of highly qualified applicants who will be considered for admission after May 15th"

If you received a waitlist letter, please post when you interviewed.
Yeah we are all "highly" regarded...I wonder if they would have a two-tiered system where there's a "highly" regarded applicant pool and a "lowly" pool...or just _____ (fill in the blank) pool....
How do you know that the last adcom meeting is 3/19?The final adcomm meeting is March 19 and decisions will be sent on March 20 -- email for acceptances, snail for waitlists and rejections. Good luck to everyone (myself included)!
