this thread is depressing. I just want to go to Nova, nothing more, nothing less.
The class is larger than 200, more like 230-240. And yes, they overaccept to fill up the class and modify it as time goes by. Also, they put applicants on the waiting list as early as the Fall, so they those applicants to look over again.Just wanted to confirm that when they say ~35 seats, that would probably mean that they would accept some more kids than that to make sure they fill up, right? Anyone have any figures on that, how many people do they accept for each seat to make sure the seat is actually filled in the Fall? The approximate numbers I have is that each year 400 are accepted from a class of 200, so that is 2/seat but I'd guess that this late in the admissions cycle that number might go down?!?!
Also, did the administration give any idea on when interviewing is ending? Anyone know? Some people said it would end earlier (like February) but others said that it would continue into March.

Well, what should you do now that you're in the waiting period? Make sure that you sent your thank you cards, and think about sending them a Letter of Intent. It can only help.
I do not know when interviewing is ending. I'm not scheduled to do anymore tours.
No, it's not necessarily for wait-listed applicants.Hey, just wanted to check if anyone has any recommendations on the letter of intent. I'd be happy to send one in because NSU IS my top choice. Isn't that usually reserved for places where you are wait-listed though?
Guys... hang in there. from the stats it seems like there is reasonably good movement on the wait-list. When did both of you (MikeMD and Cannes) interview? I haven't heard back yet, I interviewed 1/25.

Make sure you convey that Nova is your top choice.
Highlight the reasons why (personal, the pros of the school, etc)
Be clear and concise

anyone from the 1/25 group hear anything? i guess they are still accepting a handful of students each week but will probably hold off on most decisions till later.
Congratulations to all those who got in this week!
Thank you movingfwd867!!Congrats Scorching!! I hope I get to join you soon for now I am going crazy waiting.
Would they send acceptance/waitlist/rejection notifications via email? I have changed my phone number since submitting my secondary and my mom has a tendency to "misplace" my mail.
They will not email decisions because it is not secure. The snail mail is marked confidential and requires a signature. So, your family should know it's something important and they wont misplace it.Would they send acceptance/waitlist/rejection notifications via email? I'm assuming this thread is slowing down because no one is hearing anything. I haven't heard much either. I did, however, mention to a DO I know that graduated from NSU that I hadn't heard anything several weeks post interview. He called on my behalf and was told what everyone else has been told. They are waiting until mid-March to send another "wave" of acceptances. (He was also told my file was on top of the stack to be accepted, which is nice, but I won't totally confident until I have letter in hand.) So for those still waiting, don't be discouraged. Your acceptance is probably in the same stack as mine (hopefully).
