The student to cadaver ratio really isn't that big of a deal. Remember that NYCOM does anatomy along with it's systems (not as an individual thread). The 1st years just had their last anatomy lab this past week. The first few labs everyone is gung-ho about cutting and doing all the work. After that, most people don't want to do it, so if you really do, you'll be able to do as much as you want. Also, even though there is a high ratio, there are a ton of students, which still means there are a ton of cadavers. If you go in at night to review, you definitely have a wide variety to look at. I did most of my anatomy learning outside of the assigned lab time, and ususally there were no more than 15 other people in the lab at the time (often my bf and i were the only ones), so we had our choice ~35 cadavers to look at. Plus, the way they split up the lab now (and a 1st year can correct me if i'm wrong, because it was different for us) 4 people cut, then the other 4 come in, and the 1st 4 teach you what they did, then leave, and you can review it with just for, then the next lab, it switches. That way there are only 4 people at a body at any given time.
