i'm getting a little nervous as very few people are saying they've been rejected from what scares me is that i've seen the interviews piling up but have only seen a few posts from the schoools I've applied to on the reject thread. i'm wondering if they'll axe us all in 1 fatal swoop...

I am evil and I never posed West Virginia, please add me. I was rejected on 8/6/07 by snail mail. Also, I wasn't outright rejected by EVMS, but they sent me an email saying something to the effect of "while we did send you a secondary application, we HIGHLY recommend you retake the MCAT in order to remail competative." I just withdrew my application. BLAH!

Thanks for the love SDNers...my GPA hasn't moved much over four years, so that is a big downer...I was put on the waitlist at Wayne last year for eight agonizing months, and maybe it's just not what they are looking for. They are really helpful to those who aren't considered applicants anymore, so I have scheduled an interview with their assistant dean of admissions. I couldn't do it before, because i was officially rejected after I resubmitted for this cycle.

/it'll all work out, just gotta stay positive.

When I went on their website after receiving the "you have an update" e-mail, it said smth along the lines of "we are pleased to offer you a supplementary application..." so I'm sure a rejection would also be fairly obvious from the site.

" The committee's initial screening resulted in a decision not to pursue your file any further. The Committee does not send supplemental applications unless they are confident that the candidate will be competitive within our large applicant pool. Our committee does NOT offer reasons for this action but does suggest that a discussion with your pre-med advisor might be worthwhile.

Holy crap. That has to be one of the most snobbiest rejections I have ever read. 😛 I haven't had many rejections in my day, but man...not lookin' forward to it if they're gonna be like this... MI loss anyways 🙂 GL elsewhere.

Gotta love Mizzou, lol. They waitlisted me last year and didn't send the official rejection letter until about a week before this year's classes began. Furthermore, I was reading through their website, in the section for reapplicants, and the very nature of this page is condescending. They need to put themselves in perspective and realize that they aren't Harvard.
