When did you submit your case secondary? I submitted mine on 7/20...when I check status page it says my app's been reviewed but I haven't gotten any emails with interview invitations or rejections...I've been owned by Case..didn't I 😡

Did you apply to CCLCM?

Then it will take longer. They won't notify you for an interview right away if you may also get one from CCLCM because they want to coordinate them together. The same thing happened to me. I think you may possibly take it as a good sign because it means they haven't rejected you because if that's the case, they can send you a rejection regardless of what happens with CCLCM... Last year CCLCM didn't invite anyone until the end of August, if that helps.

yeah i thoguht i was screwed at case too, submitted july 11, and just heard yesterday from them and have an interview. so hold on hope.

rejected from PSU though (uva, pitt , case interviews and not PSU? as a PA resident? seems odd).

complete at august 8 and got a snail mail letter yesterday that says i am in the continue to review category, which for them is rejection.

Yup. Even if the UP rejects you, CCLCM could still invite you or vice versa. It happens all the time.

Well I got a status change on Monday, and after not getting an email in a couple days I figured I'd be getting a thin white envelope soon... I thought my research would make me a good candidate there but I guess I'm not what they're looking for. I'm a bit less disappointed than I thought I'd be, I guess I like NU a bit more among the Chicago schools. As far as everything else, the first rejection does hurt a little bit but I know the process is random and my brother got a post-sec rejection like 2 days after he was complete (and got into HMS) so who knows what adcoms are looking for 🙂 I'm sure this won't be my last visit to this thread!

Got the Chicago thin envelope of doom today. Not terribly hurt, it was a reach school anyway and will be the first of many rejections to come, I'm sure.

Sorry, fiji. My bad. No one had been using a list but some people suggested it (and it seemed like a useful idea), so I "created" the list of rejections based on previous posts. That's ridiculous. I can't believe you were rejected post-secondary by Pritzker. Makes me think it's not worth my time to submit my secondary because you're an infinitely stronger applicant!

I think your application would be pretty competitive at U of C... you have a significantly higher GPA than me and the same MCAT, so I'm not sure that I agree with your assessment hehe

I posted this on the Pritzker hold page, but it seems to fit better here. Did anyone else get this same message on their status page?

I got this message in my portal today:

The Admissions Committee will not be continuing your application further in our admissions process. We are anticipating close to 7,000 applications this year, and are unfortunately having to make tough decisions regarding who we will be able to bring on campus for one of our 600 interview slots. In April of 2007 interested applicants may call our office to set up an appointment to talk with one of our Directors of Admissions and Financial Aid to discuss the reasons for this decision and possible suggestions for improvement.

I find it strange that it says that I can make an appointment in April 2007 to speak with admissions about how to improve my chances. I guess if I invent a time machine so I can actually make that appointment it should help my chances for next cycle.

I was hoping to at least interview there, since it's close (ish) to home
 
How long did it take you guys to get a pre-sec reject from WFU and VCU after you got verified? Just wondering, I've been verified for 1.5 weeks now, and no word from WFU, and just an acknowledgment of the primary receipt from VCU.

I was verified 8/09, got rejected by WFU on 8/20, so 1.5 weeks. Expect to hear something soon.
