Did everyone attach the form they give you with your LOR's for EVMS? My letters are stored with Interfolio, so I don't really understand how I'm supposed to get these letters signed & attached to my evaluation letters?

Thanks.
I believe someone previously said that form is for LORs that are not confidential, as in your right to read them has not been waived.

My inbox has been quiet lately, but just checked... and I got my first interview invite! (From GWU)

is there any way to check that your application is complete at Baylor or do i have to call?

nvmd i just found it, had to dig through my old emails!!!

hey

so I have finally received feinberg's and stony brook's!! still no upstate?? no drexel?? howard (due out 8/15)...Rosalind??? and UCLA drew??ooh and university of toledo???

I have received and returned RFU and Upstate. Complete at both. When were you verified? Patience, grasshopper.

For the Northwestern challenge question, do you guys think that I can talk about a challenge that I faced while doing research for my Master's degree or will this be too "school related"? I figure it might be ok because it's research related and not in class, studying for a hard test sort of challenge. It's the only real huge challenge that I can think of without busting my brain.

Duke's Supplemental = WTF

'nough said.

Did anyone else get WVU's secondary today?

Was anyone else expecting those four essays? Out of the 15 or 16 secondaries I've received/done so far, this one wins (even with all the extra MD/PhD essays they make me write).

No. 🙁

What are the essays?

For WVU, do you know if we have to send in their recommendation forms (eval form, waiver form, communication eval form) if you are sending a composite letter from your school committee?

Thanks!

In response to "In college have you completed one or more years of the following..." in the Scholastic Achievements section, Does anybody know if applicants are supposed to mark yes, no, or no answer for classes that we will have completed before graduation but haven't completed yet?

Anyone complete at Northwestern?

Does anyone know/remember around how long it takes them to download your LORs from VirtualEvals? That's all that's missing per my status page. Granted, I submitted the secondary on 8/1, but I'm just curious since some schools seem to download them in a day, while others can take a few weeks.

Finally got the Drexel secondary!

Edit: ...and then it exploded when I tried to start the secondary.

Did it come via email? I'm waiting on Drexel too, but I don't see anything in my inbox. I was verified on 6/6, so perhaps they're doing batches like some of the other schools.

Not complete yet, submitted app 7/30 according to the website. When did you submit, Kiara?

i submitted my secondary last night around 9 pm. i submitted my LOR thru Interfolio ("US Postal Service Priority Mailing (2-3 Days)") on 7/30 around 2 pm

i checked my status online, i did not receive an email

Hrm. Interesting. I submitted mine the afternoon of August 1st, and my VirtualEval letters were posted on July 9th. No idea why mine says they're still waiting for my letters. Guess NU actually works faster with interfolio than VE. *shrug*

For Rush's Secondary, is it ok to say, "Please refer to personal statement?"

They don't mention that anywhere, so I'd say that's not okay and you need to come up with something new.

the secondary question reads: .Describe a difficult life experience and how you dealt with it.

do you all think it would be wiser to describe a single event (escaping a communist prison (j/k)) or something more vague like growing up without strong role models which lead to me being self-sufficient at an early age??

thanx all.....

the more specific, the better.

on a unrelated note, i don't think i can crank out another secondary if my life depended on it. i am so so tired of this already! *end whine*

I agree... I mean looking at the Rush App makes me want to bash my head on the desk. Not that its hard or anything, but that these secondaries do get annoying after awhile.

seriously and it seems like the longer/harder ones come out last!!

so who wants to finish my penn state, loyola, and usc secondaries? huh, huh?
Penn State wasn't hard at all! Wasn't it just a bunch of 50 word "essays" which is about 2 sentences?

Even if it was 50 words it was stressful trying to compact what you wanted to say into 50 words. Especially when your trying to use previously written essays from other secondaries and then remodeling it to fit the new secondary.

it's not that any of them are hard i just don't know if i can take writing any more "meaningful" essays/short answers. 😀

i.e., i'm just being lazy.

Loyola took me the longest of any of my secs, like 1500 words total at least. I'm very happy I didn't apply to Duke...

For WVU:

I think you can send the composite letter. The email they send explains it well.

I'll post the essays when I get home.

anyone else hate when the weekend comes because you know there won't be any e-mails until Monday?...

Yah... no interviews either

Yeah, it's sad. But it's also good, because I'm still sitting on the secondaries for UMaryland and Rush, so this will give me the weekend to get them done before I get anymore. Only 4 left after these, though, so it shouldn't be too bad. I am sooo sick of these essays already, though.

Did anyone get a secondary from SIU?
