i have a copier on my printer, so what I did was cover the list of schools with a blank piece of paper while leaving the PS visible, and photocopied it and attached that. It turned out perfectly.
 
trying this again: (stuff gets buried in this thread really quickly)

for people who applied to Oklahoma (there has got to be at least one of you!) did OK email you to let you know they 1) received your primary and 2) direct you to their website for secondary info? I would go ahead and send the stuff in but I don't know if I need to wait for an email or whatnot.
 
I got University of Missouri-Columbia's today by e-mail. Not a tough one, thankfully.

My AMCAS was processed on 07/27 and I just received the secondary through e-mail this morning.
 
FYI, it seems they are having trouble with Virtual Eval LORs on their end. I asked for my status (I submitted my secondary 8/6) and am still not complete.
 
Is anyone complete at wright state or albany? I had my letters sent in to each of these schools over 3 weeks ago...yet they still havent processed them.
 
my status is blank as well. does it change once you become complete? 😕
 
I got KU's secondary yesterday.

It's got some out-there prompts with 100 word limits...i.e. "Describe any of your special interests and how you have developed knowledge in these areas. Give examples of your creativity: the ability to see alternatives; to take diverse perspectives; to develop varied or original ideas; or the willingness to try new things."

I had everything in to Albany on 7/19. Was marked complete on 8/2.
 
Got one from NYU today. Are they a screener? I need to decide how excited I should be.🙄
 
For NYU, they give you 3 slots for the pre-req courses....if 2 courses already meet the 6-8 semester hours requirement, are you still filling out the 3rd slot to show that you took extra courses in the subject or no?

I didn't... they have your AMCAS with all the classes you've taken anyways.
 
GODDAMMIT!!!!!!😡 I filled out 2 of the 3 pages and then it couldn't "display the page," and when I refreshed, it was back to the first page and everything was blank again!😡 How hard is it to create a freaking SAVE function, especially when you have an application with essays!?😡 I don't wanna fill out all those stupid blanks again, especially when they ALREADY have my AMCAS with ALL of that information!😡

Right, that happened to me too... annoying.
 
Yeah.. I was casually filling out the NYU app page by page and suddenly it was like okay pay us and submit! Well I wanted to go back and check over my app but then it was all blank. Sigh.
 
hey guys,
maybe its been mentioned before, but does anybody know if wake asks "in which service activity that you listed on the AMCAS application do you feel made the most impact on someone else?" are they looking for a two word answer or a paragraph?
 
On a related note for you Wake applicants, do you need to wait for some sort of e-mail acknowledgement of the fact that they received your primary and some sort of link/ID/password before you can check your status there? Or is there some sort of webpage where you can go to check once you're submitted your AMCAS to them? Thanks.

They will email you with a username and number.

Yeah, they send you an email with a login and password, and you can log in and check your status. That email is sent pre-secondary. And seriously, their screening process is really odd, so don't sweat it. Worse yet, their login site is frequently malfunctioning. In the two weeks that I was signing in to see if I'd receive a secondary or not, I think I only got in two or three times. And ultimately I received an email saying that I would not be receiving a secondary. I felt silly for wasting my time trying to log in to their site when all I had to do was wait for the email!
 
Wow, Med U of SC's app is, uh, annoying, to say the least.😕
 
Anyone receive secondary from Emory yet? I thought it was supposed to come out today?

It's my last one (of 17) so I'm anxious to be finished!

Nope, not out yet. It'll come when it comes. They sent an email out a week or so ago saying that they're still tweaking the new online app.

I sent my LORs to Wright State a long time ago as well, but my status still says they don't have them.

On another note, does anybody else think UToledo's "cultural competency" essay is absolutely awful?

I have APs for a few of my classes, so I put extra classes I've taken in the third blank, even though the credits I got for AP took care of the requirements.

Toledo's essay would have sucked if I hadn't lived in Brazil for two years. I still hate the Pritzker essay the most as I detest writing pompous drivel.

If you applied to Chicago, you could always just send them a copy of that essay as a retort...
 
No word yet on Mayo that I know of. The 2008 MSAR states that there is a secondary application this year though. 2007 MSAR said no secondary application and phone interviews were conducted last year.

I would have thought that such marked interest in your school would only nurture your pretention. With an application fee of $75, certainly our $585,000 donation makes some of your “very difficult decisions” easier. Should I expect to see my name inscribed on the next medical research building you erect? Please see its proper spelling below.

I want to thank you, Committee on Admissions, for taking upwards of 15 minutes evaluating my application. And for providing the most insincere, rudest administrative staff I have ever encountered. Perhaps someday you will recognize that stellar MCAT scores and flawless GPA’s alone do not a good physician make; they merely inflate your statistics. I extend my best wishes as you pursue other, more numerically-appealing applicants to share in your pomposity.

So I noticed that the word doc for the UCSD secondary changes fonts like every other page. How did you all deal with this? I'm not sure if I should change it all to one font or just leave it as is...
 
I could use some opinions on this. On Columbia's secondary app, their last question is "If you have additional information that you would like to include with your application, compose a document offline in a word processor and upload it here."

The prompt goes on to suggest that the document "record any information that does not fit into the application form, including additional majors or colleges." Do you guys or gals think it would be relevant to talk about "Why Columbia?" The prompt is rather vague. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it. Thanks.
 
I've been using Arial Font for my entire UCSD secondary. I would hope that trying to be aesthetically appealing won't count against me. I just hated seeing it change fonts so often. It made my eyes hurt. 😀

I used that opportunity to send an "optional" essay I wrote for Yale discussing in detail some things I'd mentioned elsewhere. I was of the opinion that anything that is relevant and not covered elsewhere is fair game. I think "Why Columbia" would be fine if you have a good reason.
