All of the schools have a full class. But, if they say "The class is full and there will be no one taken from the waitlist" -- that's another story.

That's the point of a waitlist. You wait until someone drops their acceptance and that school's class now has an open spot. The exception, of course, is if the school has overfilled the class.

All this WL movement is awesome, even though I have not heard from any of the schools I am currently holding WL spots at. Congratulations to those of you getting into your top choices, and even moreso to those of you who are getting into your first school (all it takes is one!).

For those of you that are still waiting, how long do you plan on waiting before planning your life for the fall? For example, say you are waiting on your top choice but are holding a spot at a second choice, when are you all going to do things such as look for apartments and sign leases? The thing I fear is that I will potentially be in a position where I have signed a year long lease and then end up getting in off of a wait-list!

Aww, everytime I see your name on this thread I'm all excited that you got into Hopkins!

Well, I think the bulk of the WL movement happens from now until early June. So maybe aim for signing a lease in mid July?

I'm in the same situation because I have already found a place that I love but don't want to sign the lease yet, just-in-case. So, I plan to wait until the middle or end of June to sign. Hopefully I don't lose my sweet condo and dream school as a result of each other. :thumbdown: Life goes on either way though, and there are plenty of sweet condos :hardy:

I think I am going to set a deadline for myself of June 15th. I don't like the idea of waiting till last minute to get an apartment. To me waiting until July is really pushing it. As for the whole idea that the class is full, it would seem to me that it will remain full for the most part since we are now a week after May 15th.

I know what you mean. I think I'm gonna give Penn til mid July...if no response then I'm gonna start looking for apts around my enrolled school. This whole not knowing where you're gonna be next year thing blows. I can't promise anyone to be her roommate. What about you? When are you planning on just saying "F it" to first choice and start house hunting?

I second that dArroway. And I am having so much trouble rewriting my personal statement. The thought of having to rewrite all the other essays is reminding me of how awful this process was.

Thanks! I was tied between Baylor, Dartmouth, and Emory... I have no idea how I'm going to decide. Baylor called my mom (I'm out of the country), and when she told me, my response was "CRAP." LOL... It's great news, but it just means I have yet another incredibly difficult decision to make... A blessing and a curse!

Nah. I already released GTown, but I was waiting on finaid until I definitely released others. I know I'll go to Baylor or Dartmouth now, though, so I'll try to release Oklahoma and Colorado tomorrow.

I'm going to IUSM-Indy in the fall! But I am holding on to an Emory waitlist, but Emory's waitlist is not moving at all by the looks of it.
