As far as an academic update is concerned when the semester comes to a close, if one does not get an acceptance super early December, will schools just camp out and wait to see your newly posted grades before they decide on you?

I was wondering that too. I just checked my app and it still says none even after I confirmed the interview so I think you should just go by whatever they email you. Good luck!

NYU doesnt use AADSAS so they arent going to ever update it for anyone =/

If you applied in June, can you still get post December interviews? Is anyone eligible for post December interviews? Or is it just open then for everyone who applied later? Sorry just a little confused about the difference between pre and post decmeber interviews. Thank you!

Anyone is eligible for post December interviews. The difference is that there are less spots than there are before December 1st since a bunch of people got accepted by then. Until December first no one can be accepted, after they can. Hope this helps.

Has anyone applied/ been interviewed with no community service hours for ASDOH? I know they are big on community service, i just don't know HOW big, lol.
 
applied to 17 schools in august and the only one I've heard from is iowa... telling me that my app has been deferred.

They require a letter of rec from a community service coordinator so you can’t have no hours and get an interview

i feel you. i also applied to 17 schools in sept. never heard back from any school so far. it is very depressing.
 
Do schools tend to fill every single seat by Dec. 1st? Do post december interviews only become available once a student has declined their seat?

Indiana, for example, doesn’t have any spring interviews this year, and their entire class will be set on December 1st. However this is not too common
 
Does anyone know if when you receive an interview, you're on the same playing field with everyone? someone told me that if you receive an interview, you've passed their academic requirements and that they then base their decision off of your interview/letters/personal statement and things like that. How true is this?

Can't speak for all schools, but this is not true for most schools. A committee makes the decision, not the 1-3 person/people that interview you. The interviewer(s) report(s) what was gathered and the committee votes. They don't vote based solely on the interview... that would be ridiculous.

It depends if the interview is open file or closed file. Some interviews will only give your interviewers access to your PS, others will give your interviewers to everything except your GPA and DAT.

They review everything in order for you to get an interview (grades, letters, PS, EC's), then after the interview, it's probably the interview itself that holds a decent weight, not all but a good amount. But if they only used academic credentials to hand out interviews, that wouldn't explain how people with low stats receive them

Hey by any chance, do you know if they have any interview dates open in November? Their application complete email said they only interview until the end of November, but my application complete was a month after yours.. I'm just hoping they get to my application before they give out all of their interview slots.. Thank you.

Not entire class necessarily, I'm sure there is a chance that multiple people will give up their spot if they also get accepted to other schools

I think there are. I have a friend that had to reschedule for Nov 20th, so I’m sure there are at least a few more days left.

Example, Michigan specifically said this is not true during the q&a at their interview.
