USMLE Official 2018 Step 1 Experiences and Scores Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I wish my eligibility wouldn't have ended, sucks not knowing for sure if I'm getting mine this week.

You took it on 6/2. Pretty sure that is “early June” so you’re getting it this Wednesday whether you want to or not.

🙂

Oh I 100% want to haha. It's just that people saying "well they said July 11th was only a target date, not a guarantee" is making me paranoid.

It seems like historically permits disappeared through Monday, so hope is not lost!
Saw one of your older posts about how you felt like the test was doable and straightforward coming out, I felt the same thing and freaked out a bit because most others seem to have gotten much harder test forms.

I took it on 6/15 and I did not think it was doable and straightforward so you should be more than okay.

Yeah, like either 1) it was not as easy as I thought, or 2) it was as easy as I thought, which means the curve is going to be insane. I've said this before but I think my memories of how difficult it was might be clouded by the fact that I was so incredibly happy to be done after the test. Like I felt great walking out just because I knew I was done with step, and now I'm confusing that with feeling great about how the test went.

Same mine was the second reason. I was just so happy I was done I didn’t have a clue how much I messed up.

Yeah now that you bring it up, I might have just been stoked to finish and that probably gave me a false feeling of an easy test. I’ve spent some time the following week thinking back to many guessing moments and trying to convince myself that it actually WASNT an “easy” test.

Isn't the test adaptive? Doesn't that mean that everyone's exam is going to be unique to a certain degree?

If by adaptive you mean like the NCLEX where they give you more/different questions if you're doing ****ty then no, I don't think so. I've always thought the questioned you get are pre-determined before you even start the exam.

Does anyone know what time of day the scores are usually released? Debating on finding a spot to hide to check it on my phone, or just waiting til I get home (probably best, in case I need to cry )

Yeah Im not going to check it until I get home. I don't want to be a mess during my rotation.

When you guys say that your scheduling permit disappeared, do you mean that it says "scheduling is not available" in the schedule box thing?

My eligibility period ends on 7/31 but I took the test on 5/31 so I'm really hoping I can just find out already :|

Guys when the permit on IWA disappears, do you see a message about form 186 or the print portion is completely blank?
If you check previous page, donovank posted a pic of what it should look like under schedule once permit button disappear...all it is left is your test date, prometric number and scheduling is not available
